Chapter 2047: Chapter 2047: God

Panic is a human instinct.
It’s precisely because of fear that people can avoid danger and live longer.
But panic cannot solve problems.
Even if he lost all his power, Pranay Martinez remained calm.
Although he hadn’t visited the Nine Spirits God’s Temple many times, it was one of the three great temples. As a former servant of the gods, before the temple imnted another personality into Julius Reed’s body, Pranay Martinez frequently came to worship at the temple.
Later, the temple almost took over Julius Reed’s body, making Pranay Martinez smell danger. Since then, he found various excuses to refuse to visit the temple.
However, relying on his memory, he could still find the location of the boundary monument.
Boundary monument, as the name implies.
It marks the territory of the temple.
Including Pranay Martinez, even the six emperors would be punished if they recklessly crossed the boundary monument without the summons of the gods!
In severe cases, they would lose their lives.
The only exception is the Prophet.
The Prophet is the only one who can freely enter and exit the temple.
Right now, there was no time to worry about that. Pranay Martinez quickly walked to the temple’s outskirts and immediately saw the boundary monument.
The boundary monument was brand new, exceptionally dazzling.
But on it, there was a mark.
Like it had been corroded.
"Western Emperor, did you pee acid?" Pranay Martinez felt a surge of joy in his heart.
This is truly the Nine Spirits God’s Temple!
This proves that Julius Reed’s spection was correct.
"There’s a mark, right? Then there’s no mistake." Julius Reed confirmed Pranay Martinez’s analysis before approaching himself.
After all, teammates are meant to be betrayed.
With Pranay Martinez taking the lead, many troubles could be avoided.
Reaching the boundary monument, Julius Reed crouched down, examining it closely.
It was definitely the Nine Spirits God’s Temple.
In twisted pictographs, the words Nine Spirits God were written on it.
"Western Emperor, do you mean that what we see as a manor is actually the ruins of the Nine Spirits God’s Temple? Someone built a manor on the ruins, and once we entered, we were immediately bound by the power of the Nine Spirits God’s Temple?" Pranay Martinez’s mind raced.
"That’s essentially it." Julius Reed nodded, looking at the monk ringing the bell not far away, and said, "The real power of the temple might note from the structure. Otherwise, how could a ruin restrict us?"
"So what now? You go deal with that monk." Pranay Martinez pointed at the old monk continuously ringing the bell, the one who was suppressing his power.
He thought that once this monk was killed, could he regain his power?
"It’s useless." Julius Reed shook his head. "The root of the problem isn’t there. Even if you exert all your effort to kill him, it would be pointless. Besides, he probably can’t be killed. As you said, this is an illusion."
"Then we..." Pranay Martinez thought for a moment and pointed to the entrance, "Then we walk out? Since it’s an illusion, there was a path when we came in, so there must be a path when we go back! As long as we walk along the path, I don’t believe the illusion can continue to obstruct us. Once we cross that boundary, our powers will be restored."
Upon saying this, he headed towards the cliff’s edge.
That was the entrance.
Perhaps crossing the cliff was the way to safety.
"Come back." Julius Reed called out to him.
"What? You’re not leaving? If you’re not leaving, I’ll go first." Pranay Martinez turned his head but still stopped.
At times like this, he actually trusted Julius Reed’s judgment a lot.
But the desire to survive kept his gaze fixed at the cliff’s location.
"How can you be sure that ce is still the exit?" Julius Reed shook his head, his expression calm, "You said it yourself, it’s an illusion. Is it not easy for an illusion to change its location? Perhaps that ce might be the true interior of the temple."
Hearing this, Pranay Martinez stood still, afraid to move.
It made a lot of sense.
He was just so eager to leave that he made such a basic mistake.
In an illusion, nothing has reference value.
"So what should we do?" Pranay Martinez wasn’t afraid of a real fight!
He was afraid of being toyed with like this, dying without knowing why!
It’s suffocating!
"Since we’re here, what’s the harm in looking around?" Julius Reed turned and walked toward the grand entrance of the Nine Spirits God’s Temple. "Back in the day, in its prime, it dominated the Nine Provinces, and yet, I still smashed it. Now that it’s ruins, what can it do to me? Let’s go in and have a look, I didn’t take a good look inside back then as I was in a hurry to break it."
Without waiting for Pranay Martinez to respond, he directly pushed open the temple door!
And walked in!
Boom!
The moment the temple door was pushed open!
The bell-ringing monk outside disappeared.
A beam of golden light shot straight out.
Julius Reed instinctively covered his eyes, and after a while, he moved his hand away.
At some point, Pranay Martinez had also appeared.
"Julius Reed, you’re really brave." Pranay Martinez whispered behind him, "You actually dared toe in."
"Why wouldn’t I dare?" Julius Reed frowned slightly, nced at Pranay Martinez, and then looked at the temple in front of him.
Three god statues stood in front of him.
These statues were different from the ones in the small temple outside; each of the three statues had its own face.
They looked like three people.
These three people seemed familiar, but Julius Reed couldn’t recall immediately.
"Ignorant mortal, how dare you trespass into the temple!"
One of the god statues suddenly spoke.
Originally motionless, the statue now seemed toe alive and spoke.
The voice was like a great bell, reverberating and deafening!
"Those who trespass the temple, die!"
Another statue also spoke!
The word ’die’ echoed continuously.
It was unsettling.
"Submit, be a servant of the gods, and perhaps your sins can be forgiven. Attempting to defy divine power leads only to destruction! Are you still obstinate?"
The third statue spoke as well.
As soon as the three god statues finished speaking, the temple door closed.
"You dare call yourselves gods?" Julius Reedughed heartily, dismissing the threat, "The word ’god’ has really been cheapened by you! Worthless gods, if you’re truly capable,e down and fight me!"
Faced with such a response, the three god statues seemed to have anticipated it.
"Insolent!"
"Hopeless!"
"Destruction!"
The three statues spoke in turn.
"In the domain of gods, you, a mere mortal, have your powers suppressed!"
"Prepare to face divine judgment!"
"Destroy everything!"
As the statues finished speaking, they suddenly leaned forward to strike!
Julius Reed didn’t move!
The three enormous palms passed through Julius Reed’s body and retracted.
"You have no physical form, how can you harm me?" Julius Reed spoke with a mocking tone, pointing at the three statues with a single finger, "Stop pretending to be ghosts ande down!"
"You’re very clever."
"But gods are cleverer!"
"It’s over."
The three statues spoke in turn.
"I’ve said it, you can’t harm me. But I, I can destroy you!" As Julius Reed’s voice fell, Pranay Martinez suddenly spoke, coldlyughing, "But what about me? I’m solid, can I kill you?"
With that, he thrust his longsword forward!
"You can’t either!"
Bam!
Julius Reed seemed prepared, and with a swift turn, struck!
Directly sending Pranay Martinez flying!
"I already knew you were fake, just wanted you to reveal yourself." Julius Reed drew the Break Sky Knife from his waist, his lips curling slightly.
"But you’re not... your power was suppressed..." Pranay Martinez widened his eyes.
"If I hadn’t said that, how would you have the heart to open the door and let me in?" Julius Reed held the knife, step by step approaching. "Remember, gods are gods, but I, Julius Reed, am the sky above the gods!"
