At his previous location was the maw of a massive shark-like creature with two sets of dorsal and pectoral fins. Its eyes were empty scarlet orbs, and its skin was protected by tough gray scales.
Shye couldn''t suppress a shiver as he contemted what might have urred if he hadn''t escaped in time.
Still, unnerved as he was, he still had the presence of mind to use one of the most important skills in his arsenal.
