CHAPTER 51


    Afterte lunch, Selena had to literally drag Zaden to bed. He was too worried about tomorrow''s fight


    that he refused to go to sleep.


    “You can''t predict tomorrow, Zaden. What is bound to happen, will keep unravelling itself, in front of us.


    What you can do is get ready for that, prepare yourself. Now, you need to sleep well for that” It''s a


    small room with a queen size bed and a prominently,rge window. The bed had taken up almost all


    the space, leaving a mere 3 feet path to walk around. A storage bench with rack like structure on top,


    erect at a corner to organize cloths and shoes. Simple, modest, yet cozy andfy. Selena pushed


    him to the bed, bouncing him a little. He sat up and gently grab hold of Selena''s hip,ying a trail of


    kisses around her navel.


    “Maybe we can do something else...to rx my mind first” he said biting his lips while his fingers slide


    in her waist band.


    “Ah ah...Nothing doing...You are not fooling me with that school boy, flirty act of yours. Go to sleep” she


    pushed him back but he sat up again.


    “At least put me down to sleep before you go” he said with a slight frown. Selena crossed her arms


    across her chest thinking ’38 rogue???Really???’. But after assessing, Zaden seem to be genuine and


    so she sighed and walked around the bed to the other side, sliding under the duvet next to Zaden.


    Zaden raised his arms up, swiftly taking off his t-shirt before snuggling into Selena''s chest. She is a


    very small figure, yet he fits perfectly into her body, like two piece of Lego blocks. His warmth radiates


    across her body,forting her in its own way. Little did she know, she does the same to him. Every


    time he moves, even a little, his trimmed beard grazes across her skin and tickles her


    “Zaden...stop moving...”she said in her low voice, which in a way, resembles her wolf. A smirk felt


    across her chest as Zaden snuggles his nose into her throat.


    “You smell wonderful...like jasmine with a hint of orange and mint” he kissed her throat


    “Really???” she is amused, never ever had any told her how she smells like and Zaden nodded


    “You smell nice too...like vani with a hint of orange and mint” he looked up, not losing skin contact.


    “Really???Others have told me I smell orange and mint but not vani. That must be just for you


    then...” his fingers are now caressing her waist, Selenabing his hair with her fingers.


    “That vani is the first to hit me back at Mountain Manuka foot, in my tent. Can I ask you something?”


    she frowned


    “Have you ever ran out of questions?” he grinned against her chest, eyes closed. Selena pped his


    cheeks yfully before returning to his hair.


    “When did you know that I am your mate?” Selena asked softly


    “At the Mountain Manuka foot, before we took you to pack for the first time...” he replied with the same


    softness


    “But you left me at my dad''s house after that” Selena said and he nodded


    “That''s supposed to be painful and possibly fatal, right? Why did you do that even after knowing our


    mate bond?” a hint of concern in Selena''s voice


    “I couldn''t force you into loving me, baby girl...yes, I would be happy with you but I need you to be


    happy as well...between these two, the second option stood out more to me...” Zaden


    “Even if it means you dying?” Selena


    “Even if it means me dying...” Zaden nodded gently. Her finger stopped moving, she bit her lower lips in


    agitation. Zaden frowned at the sudden change and looked up at Selena. Her face has turned pale


    “What?” he asked low. She shook her head as she swallowed her saliva. Zaden felt something is


    wrong, terribly wrong. He climbed up to her face level, cupped her cheeks


    “Baby, what is wrong? Does it hurt somewhere? Is it the baby? Tell me...” Zaden demanded but in a


    soft manner and she looked into his eye. Her red eye is glistening with tears as she nodded yes to

    “Where? “ he took a quick scan over her body, just in case he is squeezing her somewhere. She


    grabbed his hands and dragged it down her neck, resting in between her chest.


    “Here”


    Zaden''s eye darted up to her eye, as her heart beats against his palm. He froze for a second as his eye


    connects with her soul. A gentle smile carved her lips. He leaned with tilted head, sucking her lower lips


    gently into a pull.


    “You just told me ‘you love me’ without being asked” he smiled when he let go


    “No I didn''t” she frowned. He grabbed her face into his palms again and kissed her.


    “Yes, you did”


    “No. I didn''t” he kissed her again, a little bit passionate as his breathing spiked


    “Yes, you did...you want your Zaden” he said with a little sarcastic smile


    “No, I don''t, go to sleep” she pulled his hands off her face. She can sense where this is going.


    “Yes, you do...” his voice went to a sudden husky as he kissed her again, heating up the situation even


    more.


    “Hmm hmm” she shook her head, not breaking the kiss and idently pulling her own lips in the act.


    “You do...”he mumbled with her lips still between his teeth.


    “NO Inky Pinky Ponky with a baby inside her!!!” Make''s voice came with a warning from outside the


    door sending both of them to a little jolt before giggling.


    Warmth, nice smell and rxing touch. Abination that sure to knock you down and it did put Zaden


    to sleep. Selena had slept in the car earlier that she isn''t sleepy right now. She slipped from him,


    cing him gently on a pillow. The cabin is built raised above ground with 4 poles supporting. A small


    stairs is built at the front, to facilitate entering and exiting. Selena stood at the front porch, just above


    the stairs, looking around the vicinity. The sun painting ombre orange across the horizon, the


    temperature is noticeably lower with the smell of sea salt mildly swept through the air. It is a peaceful


    ce to live if only, the people governing it has the same nature in them. Selena let out a breath of


    frustration and lifted her feet to climb down the stairs when a voice came from behind


    “Watch the stairs” Make from the other corner of the house. Selena pursed her lips in annoyance as


    she rolled her eyes. Selena being Selena, decided to irritate Make a little bit more and jumped down


    the stairs, all at once andnding perfectly on her feet. A heavy nking sound came from inside the


    house as Make ran to the front porch. Seeing Selena with a smug smile, she scowled angrily at her


    but Selena thrust her hands into her jacket pocket and walked away, intending to explore the ce


    “I will take care of her” Ozrain tapped Make''s shoulder as he climbed down the stair, following


    Selena.


    “You are not sleepy?” Ozrain asked which is out of nowhere for Selena and she smiled once she


    detected the source of voice.


    “No..I don''t know why” Selena, casually


    “Come, let me show you something” he ced his palm gently on her back as he guided her to the left,

    weeping willow which stood at the edges were far more gigantic then any that she has seen so far in


    the city. Stray rabbits were jumping here and there. She scanned the ce with awe and a wide eye.


    “Come” Ozrain guided further into the backyard garden. A wooden nk with 2 ropes on the side, an


    old day''s swing, hung from one of the willow trees. Selena didn''t think much, she sat on the swing,

    Ozrain took this opportunity to know her better. He asked a lot about her life back in city, from her


    current family to her grandmother. Everything was answered with a clipped sentence, blinding him with


    uncertainty


    “What did you study, angel?” Ozrain


    “Marine biology” Selena


    “So, I assume you like the sea then? I have visited Marina Trench once” Ozrain

    “Ya, but just the surface. Didn''t dive in or anything” Ozrain

    “But you are still upset with me? You don''t seem to like or even tolerate me” Ozrain


    “Well why would you say so?” Selena


    “Talking to me isn''t your preference. I can tell” a short pause followed


    “It''s...it''s just that...I don''t know how to address you...and its weird talking without any salutation. How


    do I call you? Ozrain? Grandpa?... you don''t look like a grandpa...” Selena said with a shrug at the end


    “Oh...that''s the problem? “He thought for a while, followed by a tongue clicking


    “Maybe you can call me papa. Amethyst used to address me like that” he said


    “Papa...I like that...” Selena smiled, looking at the grass. Something just clicked and her smile vanished


    “Wait a minute. Are they raising these rabbits for food?” she turned to look at Ozrain and he chuckled


    “No...It''s not going to fill us. Maybe a side dish” Ozrain said, and Selena''s eye widened


    “Don''t worry, no rabbit''s meat in Samrat Kingdom anymore, ok?” Selena smiled again in glee


    “There you are!!! You don''t go wondering around in a foreignnd, Selena” Make and her nagging.


    The swing time officially ended, and they headed up into the house where dinner take outs has already


    arrived. Selena winched at the thought of eating again since she is still full ofst meal. So, as a tidbit,


    Make gave her a bowl of prunes.


    “Finish the whole bowl. I will make the baby super smart and cute” Make gave her a stern look and


    walked away


    “But it is only 14 days old?!?! Does he have a brain to begin with?” Selena asked in dismay


    “No arguments. Eat!!!” Make from the kitchen. Selena took a bite and before she could swallow it,


    she felt nauseas. She had to cover her mouth, in order to control herself. Ozrain and Orion was sitting


    next to her, craned their neck to check on Make and back to Selena. Selena gave them a sad frown


    asking for help. They quickly took the prune and started eating. Xavier and Sitka joined as well and


    within minutes, the prune was all gone. Their faces looks like they just swallowed shit when Make


    walked in again


    “Done already? Good girl!!! Let me refill your bowl” Make extended her arm


    “NO!!!” they all eximed together except for Selena and Make looked at them in puzzle.


    “I mean, it''s time for dinner, she won''t have room for food if you refill the bowl” Sitka managed the


    situation. After about an hour, they went for dinner
