CHAPTER 25


    Selena did want to be dumped into the bath tub again. She woke up early and got ready, went ground


    floor and made 2 sets of poached egg and bread toast. Zaden walked into the kitchen after done


    looking for her in his room.


    “Well, well, well…Look who is up. You learn fast” he sat down and took a bite of toast in front of him,


    assuming it’s for him.


    “That’s not for you…” she crossed her hand over her chest and cocked her eyebrow. Zaden looked


    around


    “Then who is it for?” Selena stiffened as she has no answer for that. Finally, she decide to answer him


    by sticking out her tongue and sat down to eat. They manage to go for a little bit further before Selena


    break down. They went to rock climbing. After 3 climbs, they were about to leave when Zaden caught


    Sitka and whispered something to him. Sitka turned to look at Selena with a smirk on his face. Sitka is


    the smallest male in the pack but still, he is twice bigger than Selena,pleted with 6 packs abs and


    biceps. From what she has observed, he is the fastest runner and he can endure tough tracks with his


    light weight. Sitka signaled Selena toe and she did with a frown. Once Selena came in front of


    him, he took a defense stance


    “What?” Selena asked


    “Attack me” Sitka


    “Why?” Sitka straightened his back and clutched his waist. The rest of the team are sitting under trees


    observing these 2.


    “So that I can fight you. Zaden said you are a good fighter, soe on” he returned to his defense


    stance. Selena’s eye and mouth widened as she turned to look at Zaden who is trying his best to


    swallow hisughter.


    Sitka started throwing punch before she was ready but she managed to dodge it


    “Sitka wait” he threw another punch, she dodged


    “He is lying” he threw a few more at a faster pace that I was difficult for her to avoid, so she crouched


    down with her hands covering her head. Sitka stopped and crouched next to her, grabbing her head to


    a hug


    “Little Bambi” he said with through gritted teeth.


    “Come on” he stood again, with hand extended to her. She swatted it away and stood up.


    “I don’t fight Sitka, he is lying” Sitka let out a chuckle and took a defense stance again.


    “Sitka, that is a wrong move” Zaden shouted from far. They both frowned since none of them made any


    movement. How can there be wrong move when none are made? Sitka and Selena exchanged look,


    inspecting each other carefully when Selena finally understood. He is in semi crouching position. She


    stepped on his thigh, grabbed his shoulder and jumped to knee his face which hit his nose. Sitka cover


    his nose with a groan. When he opened his palm, Selena see red and she panicked. She ran to Sitka


    “Sitka, I’m sorry…Oh my god you are bleeding!!!Zaden” she cupped his chin, taking a more careful look


    at his wound. Zaden had just sprung out of ground


    “You don’t feel sorry for your opponent little Bambi” Sitka pushed her back and sat on top of her, raising


    his fist to hit her in the face. She caught his fist a few inches above her face. Ines another fist and


    she did the same. Now she had caught both his fist. He is definitely stronger than Selena so she


    wouldn’t be able to hold on to his fist for long. She is in need of a counter act to shut him down, and


    she need it fast. She used his current weakness, bleeding nose. She pulled herself up and used her


    head to hit his nose.


    “Arghhh…FUCK!!!” he dropped to her side, curved his spine and his fingers holding his nose. He is


    now turning to his left and right. Zaden had reached Selena, helping her to stand up and others were


    helping Sitka. As much as she wanted to help Sitka, she also recalled what he just said, you don’t feel


    sorry for your opponent. She wasn’t sure if he is an opponent or friend now. She stayed far from him,


    her eyes filled with terror. Zaden was holding both her arms from behind


    “Are you ok?” she asked with a shaky voice. Sitka looked at her, stretched one hand out and showed


    her a thumbs up.


    “See what you did?” she then swatted Zaden’s chest


    “What did I do?”


    “You lied to him that I can fight. Now look what you have done” she raged with anger, veins in her neck


    bulging as she shouted at Zaden. Zaden held her cheeks between his fingers and turned it to side.


    “Look what YOU have done” he emphasized while looking at Sitka. He seemed to have stopped


    bleeding and all 4 are looking at Zaden and Selena in awe.


    “You might be small and not used to fight, but you are swift, slick and cunning, like a fox” Sitka said.


    Selena stunned for a while before she shook her head, to snap back.


    “You need to get that fixed or you going to have crooked nose for the rest of your life. Come, fast” they


    helped Sitka up and they all walked to pack hospital. She was right, wolfs heal fast and they have to be


    quick in positioning the nose.


    They fixed his nose and got out of hospital, went to the brick house where Grandpa Kai was waiting for


    them inmunal room. Once they arrived, heid clear his concerns

    “Tomorrow is full moon. What are we going to do with Selena?” he asked


    “She hasn’t shift by herself, she refused to get naked yesterday” Orion exined to Grandpa Kai. A


    breeze of joy swept through Zaden’s heart at Orion’s word.


    ‘So that was the homework yesterday’


    He thought to himself as he looked at Selena, who is oblivion of his thought and focused on Grandpa


    Kai


    “No, no. She can’t shift here” Grandpa Kai


    “Why not?” Orion


    “Have you forgotten? She is a silver wolf. She will stand out if she shifts in front of the whole vige.


    We don’t want them to know that she is a Samrat or elicit any doubt that she is special. Words will get


    out and soon, things will get out of control” Grandpa Kai said with concern. Zaden dropped his head


    thinking.


    “We were supposed to announce her as new member tomorrow. Maybe we can just do that and don’t


    shift” Make shrugged


    “That doesn’t work with her wolf, shees out only once a month, when Selena is asleep. I don’t


    think her wolf is going to give up shifting tomorrow” Orion said, sitting on a table next to Selena’s chair


    “Does that mean we can’t let her join the pack? Since she can’t be there for every full moon” Xavier


    asked


    “That is not an option too, we need her in our link so that we can warn her when there is a threat or she


    can contact us when she needs help” Orion


    “But…I don’t have my sleeping pills…” everyone turned to look at Selena.


    “My wolfes out only when I’m sleeping, right? I forgot to bring my sleeping pills, can she stille


    out?” Selena asked in confusion. Zaden stood up and paced back and forth. Everyone is focused on


    him for his final decision. He stopped


    “We will have the union at 11.00pm… No, we don’t want anyone suspecting anything. 11.30pm,


    announce her as a new member, establish the link and then I take her away from there, just in case


    she still shifts when she is still awake. All of you will still be there, cover up for us.” Zaden said


    “Zaden, 30 minutes is not going to be enough for you to go out of the mountains. You have seen her


    wolf. There is no way you can control her if she shifts. What if she starts running wild?” Orion


    questioned with a frown. Zaden turned to look at Selena, sitting in an extrarge single sofa, making


    her extra small.


    “Do you remember what happen yesterday with the pythons?” he asked her, with cold tone


    “No…nothing” she answered hesitated. Zaden snapped his head to Grandpa Kai


    “Her wolf knows something that she doesn’t know, isn’t it? I will use that against her, to control and


    contain her” Zaden and Grandpa Kai exchanged looks. Grandpa Kai’s frown subside to a puffed


    laughter at his lips once he understood what Zaden meant.


    “Very well then, foolproof n, I believe. Good luck” Grandpa Kai bind his hand behind him and walked


    out. Zaden smiled as a blush crept up his cheeks. He turned around and there stood 5 of his pack


    members, looking utterly confused at him. Busted!!! He cleared his throat and walked away, ignoring


    them.


    That night, Selena was waiting eagerly for Zaden in her room. She paced through the room, the wall


    clock showing 1am but Zaden haven’t showed up. Tired of waiting, she went to his room and knocked


    on the door. Zaden slowly opened the door, revealing only half of his shirtless body, squint eyes and a


    messy hair. Selena’s eye widened


    “You are sleeping?” she eximed


    “What does it look like?” he answered in a husky voice, gravelly voice


    “Why didn’t youe down, like you usually do?” he shrugged. The truth is, he is aware that Selena is


    going to ask about the python incident and what her wolf know that she doesn’t know. He already have


    her scent on his bed to make him sleep sound as well, so he didn’t need to go to her room. She huffed


    in annoyance and stormed back to her room. Zaden smiled as he closed his door.
