Chapter 177 Seal Off the Interior

Chapter 177 Seal Off the Interior

Sensing Baron’s worry, Sarah hurriedly said, “Don’t worry, I’m fine, it’s just something personal.”

Baron rxed. “Sure. I’ll stop by to see your mother while I’m at it. We can meet in the hospital.”

    “Okay!” Sarah said.

Twenty minutester, Baron rushed to the Cona Citizen Hospital.

Inside the ward of Sarah’s mother.

    “Baron, you’re here!”

Seeing Baron appear, Sarah’s mother was very happy.

But the more she liked Baron, the more depressed she also got. The first time she saw him, she’d

thought he was Sarah’s boyfriend, and onlyter did she find out that Baron was married.

Baron smiled. “How are you doing today, ma’am?”

Having just gone through dialysis, the woman’s face was pale and her lips were white. She seemed

    weak.

She smiled and shook her head. “Since I’ve got the medical fees for it, I’m getting better every day. I

just hope I can recover and get out of hospital soon, maybe leave to find some other work instead of

leaving Sarah here to suffer on here own.”

Her eyes reddened. She wasn’t afraid of death, but she couldn’t let Sarah face the world alone.

Sarah’s eyes reddened as well. She took her mother’s hand and forced a smile. “Don’t overthink it,

Mom. Just rest up now, and we can work hard together when you’ve recovered.”

“Okay. I’ll get well soon,” her mother chuckled.

“Have you found a suitable kidney donor?”

    Baron asked suddenly.

Sarah’s mother was quite sick. Only a kidney transnt would save her. Everything else was moot.

Sarah’s expression dimmed, and she gave a slight shake of the head. “The doctors say they’re still

looking. There aren’t many donors around, and we have toe across one first. We can only wait for

    now!”

Baron nodded, then suddenly said, “Wait here, I’ll go out and make a phone call.”

Leaving the ward, Baron dialed a number.

The other end picked up quickly, sounding overjoyed. “What’s with the sudden phone call, Baron?”

It was the voice of a very young woman, getting emotional at receiving Baron’s call.

A little embarrassed, Baron said, “I’ve got a favor to ask, Erin.”

“Oh, so it’s all business! I thought you missed me, you little punk!”

    Erin said, exasperated.

Erin had always been a genius. At just thirty years of age, she was a national treasure in the medical

    area.

She’d saved plenty of fighters in her time in P, and her rtionship with Baron was very close.

Baron chuckled helplessly. “It’s business, but I do miss you. I’ll stop by to visit you in Donas after some

    time.”

“Fine, kid. I know you’re busy, so I won’t waste your time. Out with it.”

    Erin said sharply.

Baron exined the situation with Sarah and her mother, then finished, “So I wanted to see if there was

any way on your end to get a suitable kidney?”

“I can only say I’ll try my best. Kidneys are rare, and they have to pass certain standards before a

    transnt,” Erin replied.

“That’s good enough for me. I’ll send you the patient’s detailster,” Baron said.

“Okay, that’s that, then. I’ll get in contact when I have newster on. I’ve got a meetinging up, so I

can’t stay to chat. When you have the time,e by Donas to visit,” Erin said.

“All right. I’ll leave you to your work!”

    With that, Baron hung up.

Even though he hadn’t found a kidney, it was enough to get Erin’s help. He’d spent several years with

her and knew her well. If she said she was trying her best, it was basically a done deal.

“Don’t worry, ma’am. We’ll get you a suitable kidney. Now rest up. The operation will only be a sess

if your body is healthy enough for a transnt.”

    Back at the ward, Baronforted.

After chatting with Sarah’s mother for a while, Baron left, and Sarah took the opportunity to follow him

    out.

“What did you want me here for, Sarah?”

Sarah didn’t talk about it up until they went to the carpark, which raised Baron’s suspicions.

Sarah was quiet for a while longer, then stuffed a piece of paper into Baron’s hand.

    “What’s this?”

    Baron asked dubiously.

Sarah shot him a serious look. “This is a receipt for what I owe you. I don’t know how much my

mother’s sickness is costing you, so I’ll leave the sum empty and fill it in when the detailse in.”

Baron blinked, then remembered something. This silly girl had gotten wind of his fifty-million-dor

    charity donation.

“What do you think you’re doing, Sarah?”

Baron tore the receipt into pieces without hesitation.

“I donated the money to the hospital to establish the urology care charity not for you, but to save more

patients. Besides, your mother’s disease fits with the charity’s conditions, so what’s the receipt for?”

    Baron said, frustrated.

He was also helping Sarah save her mother because he saw himself of five years ago in her and

remembered his own mother. That was why he established the charity.

Of course, even without the charity, he would have helped Sarah without rpense. This woman had

    helped Lara.

Then Sarah simply produced another receipt right after Baron ripped up the first one. “I knew you

wouldn’t ept it, so I made two copies.

“No matter the reason, you’ve helped me enough. I don’t want to owe you any more than I can’t repay.

    Content from N?velDr(a)ma.Org.

You have to take this receipt. I’ll go out and look for work, and return this money in instations every

month if I can maintain my life.”

Sarah’s face was serious, and her expression was firm.

Baron took the receipt, smiling bitterly. “You’re forcing me to take this, then!”

Seeing Baron ept it, Sarah finally smiled a rxed smile. “Debts should be repaid. It’s just how it is.

I’m already so grateful for your taking on my mother’s treatment costs.”

“Fine, if you insist, I’ll take it.”

Baron put the receipt away helplessly.

    ‘This woman is adorably innocent!’

After leaving Sarah, Baron tossed the receipt in a nearby garbage bin and shook his head, sighing.

Then he thought for a while. ‘Don’t know if Dad’s situation has gotten stable yet. I should probably

    check up on him!’

With that, he got in a car and left.

At that moment, in the countryside. In the warehouse of River Construction Materials.

There was arge shipment of steel going out today, and Terry was inspecting the area personally.

    “Are the goods ready?”

Terry asked the warehouse manager, a safety helmet over his head.

The manager nodded hurriedly. “We’re done tallying up. There’s no problem. The trucks areing.

The exchange will be done right away when we load them up and take it to the construction site.”

    “Take me there!”

Terry said, leading the way into the warehouse. The manager rushed to keep up.

Then the screech of tires against the ground came from in front of the warehouse.

Everyone looked towards the source of the noise. Eight ck sedans were stopped in front of the

warehouse, with a ck jeep in the leap.

Soon, twenty odd men in ck poured out of the sedans, each of them carrying sticks.

In the back of the jeep, a middle-aged figure walked out, with a scar down the left side of his face and a

deaths-cross on his chin interconnected with his neck.

The middle-aged man was no other than Kyle, whom Sion had gone to justst night.

    “Who are you?”

    The warehouse manager demanded.

Kyle didn’t even look at him. He gestured andmanded, “Seal off the door!”
