Chapter 10 Accusations

    Chapter 10 usations

Early morning the next day, Samho Group penthouse.

A regr meeting was held every Monday morning. Every direct rtive of the Perry family sat around

    the meeting table.

“Tracy, I heard that trash husband of yours who disappeared five years ago has made his way back?”

The man speaking was Tracy’s cousin Phillip. Seeing her enter the meeting room, he was all smiles.

“Is it any business of yours whether he’se back or not?” Tracy frowned, turning the question back

    at him.

“Well, it’s nothing to do with me personally, but the Perry n came into a decline because of the

scandal between you two. We would have made our way into the upper crust of Cona if not for that.”

Phillip said, his expression shadowy. He continued, “Some other woman with a better sense of decency

would have killed herself for shame. You’ve got the sheer gall to spawn a bastard child as well? You

    insult our family.”

“Shut your mouth!” Tracy stood bolt upright, enraged.

They could say anything about her, but not her daughter. That was the one thing that was off-limits.

The entire room of Perry n members did nothing to stand up for Tracy. They simply watched the

    show from the side.

    “Mr. Perry ising!”

Phillip had been about to speak when footsteps rang out outside the door. He shot Tracy a cold look

    and remained silent.

Then, a silver-haired elder of the Perry n came into the meeting room and sat at the Chairman’s

    seat.

The Perry n owned a great manypanies, but the most well-developed one was Samho.

Because of that, when Henry took thepany in as their own, it had be home base for the

    family.

Every time they held a meeting here, Tracy’s heart twitched with pain. This was a property she’d

created all on her own, but now it belonged to the n. No matter how much she resented it, things

    were set now.

Although Henry was getting on in age, he had no intention of resigning, instead grasping his position as

head of the n tightly in his own grip.

His gaze swept across everyone in the room, and he spoke. “Last month, the Owen family of Donas

established a branchpany in Cona. For all this time, we’ve been preparing. Thetest news I’ve

received is that the branch is going to officially established within the next few days. Countless first-

ss families are racking their brains to coborate with the Brone Group. The Perry n must not fall

behind. Our way to first ss rests on our ability to gain coboration with the Brone Group.”

At Henry’s words, everyone grew excited. Someone asked directly, “Mr. Perry, is there some reward for

getting the Brone Group on our side?”

Henry looked at the speaker and leered, “Whoever manages a contract with the Brone Group gets to

take the seat of Samho Group Chairman.”

At that, everyone was stunned. Henry was going so far as to put Samho up as a prize for the

    coboration of the Brone Group.

Tracy bit her lip tightly. The Samhopany had been hers to begin with. It was obviously very difficult

to get into coboration with Brone, or the old man wouldn’t have put up the chairman’s seat as a

    reward.”

In a moment, everyone’s gazes switched back and forth between Tracy and Phillip.

One was Henry’s most valued member of the family; the other simply had exceptional capabilities. Both

were prizes in Henry’s eyes, but everybody knew that the Samho Group belonged to Tracy in the first

    ce.

Phillip, naturally, also understood the importance of this endeavor, and he was the first to stand,

smiling, “Granddad, I think we have to discuss this matter of coboration.”

“Oh?” Henry asked. “What are your thoughts?”

Phillip replied, “I won’t lie, Granddad, when the Brone Group first established their branch in Cona, I’d

already begun making preparations. Only, the Brone Group’s qualifications are extremely high. I spent

a fortune just to make some connections. It might be difficult to sign a contract with them.”

“Good work, Phillip. You might not have gained their coboration yet, but at least you’ve started

making moves, and you even made some connections. When this meeting is over, go to ounting

    All content ? N/.?vel/Dr/ama.Org.

and apply for a million in work expenses,” Henry said generously.

“Thank you, Granddad!” Phillip was overjoyed.

The others’ expressions were full of envy.

Phillip suddenly shot a thoughtful look at Tracy, continuing, “Granddad, I really want to get in good with

the Brone Group, but that’s hard to do on my own. After all, in front of them, the Perry n is just one

of many small families, so why would they work with us?”

“Since you’re saying that, do you have some other strategy?” Henry asked.

Phillip simply smiled, “I received some inside news that the Brone Group won’t go for small families this

time around. We’re out just with that, so we can join forces with a family of simr scale to ours.”

“That’s a good suggestion, Phillip. Go on.” Henry was looking more and more pleased.

Phillip went on, “You see, Granddad, Joker, son of the Warner n, has been chasing after Tracy. He’s

already stated that if Tracy marries him, working together is no problem at all.”

Everyone’s eyes fell on Tracy, whose face went ck instantly. She hurried to say, “Granddad, I’m

already married. How can I marry someone else?”

“Tracy, everyone knows about you and that garbage. He left you for five years right after your wedding.

There’s nothing between you two. Why not marry Joker? Whatever help he could be of to the family is

more than anything that trash could muster,” Henry said, looking at her.

Tracy bit her lip, her face full of determination as she shook her head. “Granddad, I’m Baron’s woman

for as long as I live, and he’s my only husband.”

    p.

Henry brought a palm t down on the table, raging, “If it hadn’t been for the scandal between you and

that bastard five years ago, the Perry n would already have risen to the elite! Are you still trying to

ruin the family’s future after half a decade?”

Biting down hard on her lip, Tracy clenched her fists, too hurt to even notice her nails digging into her

    hand.

The Perry n hade this far on the shoulders of the Samho Group. Henry wasn’t just disregarding

her contribution to the family, he was cing all me for the n’s incapability to move upwards on

    her.

“That’s that, then. When the meeting’s over, I’m contacting the Warner n’s head personally to

    discuss the betrothal.”

Henry made an executive decision right then and there, without any consideration for whether or not

    Tracy would agree.

“I’m right here alive and kicking while you’re trying to marry off my wife. What makes you outsiders

think you have any say in something she doesn’t want to do?”

At that moment, an indescribably cold voice rang out, and a familiar figure appeared in the meeting

    room.

As shock hung over the direct Perry n members, Baron sat down next to Tracy, looking gently at her.

“Like I said - from now on, I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
