Ste then responded in a pretentious tone either, "Thanks for your care, my dear brother! Don''t worry,

After a while of small talk with Ste, Caleb handed over the photo of Maximilian to Ste and left.
Ste took a sight of the photo, and was surprised to find that the man in the photo was quite a man
with a handsome and honest countenance, who was seemingly not the sort of bad guy in Caleb''s

However, giving a second thought that this man had a feud with her family, she chose to forget about
her personal feelings and do her best to save her family from risk.
On the other side, Maximilian left government after saying goodbyes to Fiy and Caden.

In the private room, as Steid on the bed, Maximilian was somehow bewitched by this beautifuldy
and felt difficult to resist his lust. But soon, he suppressed his impulse — he was a gentleman, and a
gentleman would never hold any evil intention to a drunkdy.
With her eyes closed and a sharp dagger in her hands, Ste was waiting for the chance when
Maximilian climbed up the bed. After a long while of silence, as she curiously opened her eyes, she

Ste gritted her teeth, staggered out of the room and embraced Maximilian from his back.
Maximilian turned around, rolled his eyes upwards and thought that she was such a troublesome and
restless woman.
Ste said coquettishly, "Please, I''m too scared to be alone in the room! I need you!"
"Then, how about we call your family here?" Maximilian said impatiently, since it was just this girl who
had slowed his pace heading to the Berry Family.
Maximilian then had no choice but to go back into the room. As he was about to leave, Ste suddenly
clung to him and didn''t let him go.
Maximilian failed to resist her lust, lifted Ste from the ground with his arms and was going to teach
her a lesson.
With her face twisted out of panic, Ste realized that she had overdone this and subconsciously pulled
out her dagger.
Seeing the weapon in Ste''s hand and her anxious look, Maximilian smiled, "I guess you are forced to
do so, aren''t you?"
Ste, with a speechless cold expression on her face, gritted her teeth and prodded towards Maximilian
with the dagger in her hands.
Astonishingly, Maximilian stopped the dagger with merely two of his fingers. He disarmed Ste and
asked, "Are you sent by the Berry Family?"
Ste was stunned to hear that her real identity had already been found out by Maximilian, and then
guiltily nodded her head.
In calm, Maximilian felt not so surprised to hear that, and thought it was wretch and vicious for the
Berry Family to ever do this.
Maximilian then said disdainfully, "Whatever. I''m not going to do anything to you, since you''re from the
Berry Family. You''re free to go now."
Ste was stunned by his words. The reason why Maximilian let her go was that he would never fight
any woman, especially those fairdies.
Suddenly, Ste found herself falling in love with the man, who was so gentle and principled that
caused her heart throb.
Looking at Maximilian''s back, she suddenly realized that Maximilian was possibly heading to the Berry
