Time slowly ticked away.

After four hours, all of the warriors who signed up stepped on the transfer array.
A purple light shone beneath their feet, and space started to distort. The transfer array had been
activated.
While no one was noticing, Jack put his true energy into the nameless badge.
The badge shone immediately. The light condensed into a thin line and slowly circled Lourain. At the
final moment, the transfer array''s light would surround everyone individually, sending everyone to a
different spot
However, with that thin line, Lourain followed Jack the whole time!
After fifteen minutes passed, the distorted space finally settled down. After the scenery stabilized, the
two of them once again found themselves standing on solid ground. It felt gray and barren all around
them. Even though there was a river and mountains in front, it felt devoid of life.
Looking up, there was no blue sky or white clouds, there was only gray fog. They looked like dark
clouds that had been dispersed, floating in the air.
Lourain gulped subconsciously, feeling his body stiffen.
They were at the foot of a hill. There were some short trees sparsely littered around the ce. They
would constantly hear the sounds of birds chirping. However, when they heard that, Lourain merely
shuddered as a strange feeling crawled up his body.
He sighed and said stiffly, "Jack, there are some animals, and there''s water and even some trees. It
has a lot more lifepared to Chaos City, but I feel like this ce is far more terrifying than Chaos
City."
They could clearly see signs of life around them. Even though it was not bursting with it, it was still
better than Chaos City. Yet, everything still felt strange to Lourain. If Jack was not next to him, he would
have started shuddering.
Jack quietly studies his surroundings.
He raised an eyebrow and said, "That''s because the air of death here is much thicker than in Chaos
City. It''s not just filled with murderous and cold energy, it''s also filled with all sorts of chaotic energy
flows. There should not be any life here, but there is, so it feels incredibly off."
Lourain nodded earnestly, Jack woke him up!
That ufortable feeling came from the wrongness of it all. Everything around them felt wrong. It
was all just incredibly strange, which caused him to shudder.
Jack patted Lourain''s shoulder, "Let''s determine our direction first. After that, he''ll head to the center.
Have you looked into what I asked you to?"
Lourain nodded, "I asked all I could. Demon kings won''t appear in the outer regions. Even if we hurry
up, we won''t be able to find where the demon kings are more active. Only after the battlefield shrinks
three times, which is the third day, will we be able to find nests of demon kings."
Saying that, Lourain pursed his lips.
There was just too much of a gulf between people. To warriors like him, looking into where demon
kings were would be to avoid stumbling into them, for risk of being ripped apart.
Yet, Jack was looking for demon kings because he wanted to rip the demon kings apart for rewards!
Jack frowned, "We''ll have to wait for the third day?! It doesn''t seem worth it to waste our time on
moving. The battlefield will shrink as time goes on anyway, and everyone who''s still alive will be moved.
We''ll use the time for the smaller demons then. They''re still worth something.”
