She did not even know what Cape was in the beginning, and barely feared it.
However, upon finding out that Cape was involved in the ident, she looked it up and found that it
was the name of an internationalpany.
Right after that, Jordan had given her a crazy amount of money in support of her continuing to hype up
the ident. The money had gotten to Sherry’s head, and shepletely forgot just how terrifying of a
force Cape was.
It was not until she was kidnapped that she finally understood exactly how powerful Cape and Joy Corp
were.
She was regretting everything right now and starting to actually fear for her life.
Wilbur was seated right across from her at that very moment.
Being in the presence of the owner of a global corporation, who also happened to be a highly skilled
fighter, made Sherry feel an iprehensible pressure bearing down upon her, making it hard for her
to breathe.

Wilbur sighed. Elsa barked out orders to her team, and they geared up to return to the department.
Wilbur asked all of a sudden, “Wanna go together?”
“Why do you want to go?” Elsa asked curiously.
Wilbur frowned. “I’m worried Joy Corp might take some extreme measures to clean up their tracks.
“Come on, don’t underestimate us like that! Anyone who could possibly dare to break into the Special
Forces to kill someone has to have a death wish.” Elsa was nothing but confident.
Wilbur shrugged. “Okay then.”
Elsa left with everyone else, and Wilbur drove back to Seke Ind.
With Sherry finally agreeing to tell the truth, Telford Gills being taken care of, and Joy Corp’s proven
involvement in this, was fair to say that Wilbur had won.
The bacsh on him and Cape International would be gone in no time,nding Joy Corp in some hot
water instead.
It was just Joy Corp’s luck that they failed at trying to frame Cape and get away with it. Faye was a
skilled worker and would be sure to use this in securing themercial district project.
Upon returning to his room, Wilbur told Faye what had just happened. She was overjoyed and gave
Wilbur a passionate kiss.
Wilbur iled about, unable to do anything in response. Right on cue, Faron entered the room and
froze at the sight.
Faye turned bright red and buried her face into the closest mug of tea as Wilbur shifted awkwardly as
well.
Atst, Faron said, “I saw nothing. I must have gotten the wrong room. Bye.”
“Stop right there! Wilbur called out. “What’s this? We’ve got nothing to hide, right?”
Faye smiled to herself as she felt her heart warming up.
Faron let out a dry chuckle, sitting down next to Wilbur. “I knew it would happen eventually. I just didn’t
think I’d get to
witness it.

“What’s so funny?” Wilbur said.
Faron’s expression straightened out at once. “Nothing It’s not funny at all.
Wilbur red at him. “What are you here for?”

“I heard there’s been an update on Sherry Divos’ case?”
“You could say that. How did you find out, anyway?” Wilbur asked.
Faron said, “I gave Elsa a call to ask if she was around. She said she had just arrested Jordan Pavian
and was in the middle of interrogating him. I figured the rest out for myself.”
Wilbur nodded. “I’m d it went smoothly.”
“Well, it’s finally over. When are we celebrating?” Faron smiled.
Faye said, “I’ll buy everyone drinks one of these days. We’ll have our fun for sure.”
“That’s what I like to hear,” Faron said,ughing heartily.
Over in Kim’s office.
Dorson entered the room, walking up to Kim. “Miss Jenkins, I was toote. Jordan Pavian has been
arrested and taken to the Special Forces department.”
“Special Forces.” Kim frowned.
