Chapter 2808

"Drink? Look at the state you''re in! We''ll be usurped by the other Great Families if you keep drinking like this! We worked so hard to get here, Master. You can''t be like this!"

Felix stared daggers at Wilbur, who merely replied with azy grin. "It''s alright, Senior Horne. Time goes by faster here in the mirror dimension, I''m fine drinking here for a night or two!"

"A night? You''ve been here for two weeks, you can''t keep going like this!"

"What? That''s hardly anything! Come on, don''t I deserve a break? How about this -three months, and I won''t drink another drop. Just give me three months. Yeah?"

Felix sighed but ended up nodding. "Alright, Master. I know this hasn''t been easy for you. You can rest here for three months, I''ll wake you up after that."

    "Okay. Now drink with me."

"I''m busy, Master. I''m afraid I can''t drink with you today. Goodbye.''

Felix was a hard worker but did notin in the slightest as he knew that all the work he had done would go into Wilbur''s sess.

He went around the rest of his day before entering the mirror dimension once more. Wilbur was still drinking—and a year had passed in the mirror dimension.

Felix widened his eyes, running into Wilbur''s room and knocking the bottle out of his grasp in a rage. "You''ve been drinking here for a year, Master! When are you going to get to cultivating?"

The words snapped Wilbur out of his stupor at once. He forced all his drunkenness out of his body before looking at Felix in shock. "What did you say, Felix? I''ve been here for how long now?"

"Yes, Master! You said that you were just going to rest for three months, but a whole year has passed."

    "That c-can''t be."

Wilbur shook his head. He had thought that he had been unable to cultivate because he missed Earth too much and felt like resting for three months would help him recover, only to find that a year had passed just like that, and his emotions had only grown worse.

    "How did this happen?"

He recounted what happened a year ago with a frown. "Could it be that there was something wrong with the wine Lord Edmund blessed me with? Do you think he spiked it?"

"You would have had a reaction if it was poisoned, Master," said Edmund. "But you''ve just been in this... state."

    "No, no."

Wilbur shook his head. He knew his body best, and his cultivation was so strong that his steps felt light as a feather and charged with motion.

Now, however, he could not feel that power in his body, and the motivation he used to have had vanished.

Wilbur swayed as he stood on his feet, and Felix reached out to help him steady himself. Yet Wilbur pushed him away, stumbling out of his room.

Felix followed him out worriedly to see him standing before arge rock. Wilbur charged his fist with power, striking the rock hard.

Yet the rock did not explode as expected. It stood tall and strong. Instead, it was Wilbur''s knuckles that began to bleed.
