The man screamed in the fire, and after jumping out, he rolled in the snow to extinguish the mes. Meanwhile, several of his subordinates charged at Augheimer, only to be engulfed by the dense fog that suddenly emanated from him. Eventually, their energy waspletely drained, leaving behind only withered bones, which turned to dust as a gust of wind blew through.
"Damn you! I''ll kill you!"
The leader, having just extinguished the mes on his body, cursed angrily as he got up, only to see Augheimer appear before him. The ck fog surrounded the leader, swallowing him in an instant.
Feeling the energy within him rapidly draining away, the leader let out a scream.
"No! Stop! Ahhh!"
In his despair, the leader chose to self-destruct. A loud explosion echoed from within the fog, and soon after, the leader''s remains scattered across the ground. The fog quickly retracted, returning to Augheimer''s body.
A faint smile curled on Augheimer''s lips as he walked back to the campfire, took one of the roasted rabbits off the spit, and began to eat.
Although the cultivators knew a murderous demon had appeared outside Buck Town, they did not realize that Augheimer never initiated any fights. Over the past ten days, Augheimer only killed those who attacked him first.
Having absorbed the energy of five thousand cultivators, Augheimer''s strength had increased significantly. These ten days were the most satisfying days he had experienced since arriving in the middle dimension, giving him a sense of freedom he had not felt in years.
This sense of freedom had eluded him during the previous years, overshadowed by the trauma left by the Dragon yers. This also fueled Augheimer''s intense hatred for those who sought trouble with him. He projected his resentment toward the Dragon yers onto those who provoked him.
Thus, for the past ten days, Augheimer had been waiting outside the city for prey, and greedy hunters always seemed to find their way to him.
Soon, Augheimer finished one of the roasted rabbits. Just as he was about to eat the second, a dozen figures suddenly appeared around him. The leader of the group descended from the sky, looked at Augheimer, and sneered, "A former ve of the Reyne family, now turned into a murderous demon feared by all. Augheimer, you''ve really surprised me."
Augheimer looked up at Jesse and coldly replied, "You know me?"
"Indeed. You should know the Reyne family''s Shadow Group, right? I am its leader, Jesse."
"So, it''s you, Mister Jesse," Augheimer said softly.
"Hahaha," Jesseughed, tilting his head back. "As expected, a ve will always be a ve. Whether free or not, they can never change their nature."
A sh of murderous intent crossed Augheimer''s eyes. He despised being called a ve, even if that humiliating past was true, it was something Augheimer refused to ept.
Since arriving in the middle dimensions from the lower dimensions, Augheimer believed that hisck of sess was not due to ack of talent but rather ack of luckpared to Wilbur. However, everything had changed now. He was no longer the Augheimer who could be humiliated by anyone but was destined to be a powerful figure in the middle dimensions.
Tearing off a rabbit leg, Augheimer said, "If I''m not mistaken, Mister Jesse, you must be here on orders from the family head to kill me, right? If that''s the case, go ahead."
Jesse''s smile gradually froze as he looked at the calm expression on Augheimer''s face. Coldly, he said, "You arrogant fool, in my eyes, you''re nothing more than an ant. All I have to do is reach out, and I can easily crush you in an instant."
