Hadirt had given Edmund three days, but two days had passed, and nothing hade up.


    A murderous aura lingered in the air in Buck Town. In fact, half of the town''s instion system had been suspended, effectively cutting off the heating for the western part of town.


    The streets were frozen over, and the cultivators were all bundled up. Nobody looked each other in the eye, as if they were trying to hide from something.


    "This f*cking weather!"


    "There''s going to be a massacre in Buck Town if we don''t find Dalton soon. All the cultivators will be dead."


    "F*ck, why don''t we just go into the square and take the portal out of here, then? We can live in another town ande back once things are back to normal here, instead of spending our days in fear."


    "What do you think, brothers?"


    The small group of men looked at each other. They had been a group that relied on hunting and helping some cultivators with their personal vengeance to make their money. Their leader had improved his cultivation in the past two hundred years, increasing everyone''smissions by quite a bit and they now owned a few hundred gold coins.


    That was more than enough money for them to leave Buck Town, but the third in power among the group shook his head. "No, that''s not going to work. Hadirt''s got eyes over the portals and no cultivators are allowed to leave the town for now."


    "That bastard. So what if Dalton was his brother? It''s his own fault that Dalton was murdered, how can he me others like this?"


    The group chatted among themselves, but one member sat drinking in the corner of the bar in silence. It was Locke, the one who had participated in the Guard Challenge over in Walker Town and became a Senior Guard.


    There had been no one Locke found worthy of his respect in that challenge, and he saw his position of Senior Guard as a worthless title. It was only until Locke saw Wilbur battle Horst March that he grew impressed and asked around to find out how long Wilbur had been in the middle dimensions.


    It was impossible for a lower dimension cultivator to have improved his cultivation


    so drastically in just a few years sinceing to the middle dimensions.


    Locke had figured that Wilbur had at least five thousand years of cultivation in him, or he would never have won that battle.


    But Wilbur had defeated Horst, which had to mean that Wilbur was in possession of a dimensional treasure of sorts that allowed him to change the speed of time. Legend has it that there was once a precious jade bangle that contained a dimension where time flowed ten times as quickly as it did in the outside world. The jade bangle was nowhere to be found a few years after it was discovered, and everyone found it to be a terrible shame.


    After all, every cultivator wanted to get their hands on a dimensional treasure.


    With the help of one, they would be able to greatly increase their cultivation in a significantly shorter time.
