In the Nine Major Towns, it wasmon to encounter exceptional individuals. After all, the Nine Major Towns were the center of the middle dimension, attracting cultivators from various worlds within this dimension. Once a cultivator reached a certain level of mastery, they inevitably headed for the Nine Major Towns.
This was because the nine towns held the only gateway to the higher dimensions. Only those who reach the Nine Major Towns could ultimately ascend to the higher dimensions.
However, Wilbur currently had no ns to move to the higher dimensions. Being treated as a pseudo-lord in the middle dimension is far better than being a minor yer in the higher dimension. Moreover, Wilbur has yet to uncover the secrets of the four energy sources in Buck Town. In fact, Wilbur always felt a unique attraction to Buck Town, as if some mysterious force there was calling out to him.
Because he had promised Lord Edmund beforeing to Walker Town, after obtaining the Senior Guard title, Wilbur did not linger. He simply bade farewell to Lord George and immediately took the teleportation array back to Buck Town.
As he watched Wilbur''s figure turn into a white light and disappear from the teleportation array, Bale smiled faintly and said, "Are you really willing to let go of a powerful individual like him?"
George smiled slightly and replied, "I''m not keen on letting him go, but we made an agreement before he arrived. After securing the Senior Guard title, he would immediately return to Buck Town and wouldn''te back to Walker Town for a year. During that time, he''ll think carefully about which city he wants to reside in."
"I think he might choose to stay in Buck Town," Balemented. "A Senior Guard will be weed by any City Lord, no matter which city he chooses to settle in. However, a heartless person can never be a loyal servant. In my opinion, Wilbur is likely to stay in Buck City."
A cold glint shed briefly in George''s eyes. In truth, George hoped Wilbur would be his servant, but Wilbur''s fate was already sealed. The next time Wilbur returned to Walker Town would be the day he was sacrificed.
With a sh of white light, Wilbur appeared in the square of Buck Town. The guard watching over the teleportation array saw the Senior Guard emblem on Wilbur''s shoulder and hurriedly went down on one knee, respectfully saying, "Wee, Senior Guard. Wee to Buck Town."
Wilbur quickly made his way to the City Lord''s quarters and found Edmund in the garden, ying chess with Felix.
"City Lord Edmund, Senior Horne, I''m back."
"Master!" Felix quickly stepped forward to greet him. Edmund nced at the emblem on Wilbur''s shoulder and smiled, saying, "Congrattions, Wilbur, on bing a Senior Guard."
Wilbur responded, "Thank you."
"Knowing that you''d return today, I specifically summoned Felix here so you two could meet," Edmund said.
Felix, excited, eximed, "Master, you really became a Senior Guard. It''s incredible!"
Wilbur said, "Lord Edmund, I have a request I hope you can grant."
"What is it? Just tell me. If it''s within my power, I''ll certainly agree."
"I have a friend named Augheimer. We are both cultivators from the lower dimensions. He is currently with the Reyne family. I hope that you can hand him over to me so he can work by my side."
Felix was taken aback by Wilbur''s request. Wilbur made this request because he had promised Augheimer that they would cultivate together, which was why he was now pleading with City Lord Edmund on his behalf.
Hearing this, Edmund frowned and asked, "Augheimer? Do you mean the person Dalton has been eyeing recently?"
