Edmund heaved a sigh of relief at the words. After spending some amount of time with Wilbur, Edmund realized that he was truly a man of honor. That was why Edmund had kept Wilbur by his side, and told George that Wilbur was a dragon n cultivator.
That was the only way Edmund''s n would be able to go on. He needed Wilbur to get on George''s good side, and the n would go up in mes if Wilbur was dishonorable and just left for Walker Town.
It seemed that things were still within his control. Despite Wilbur not stating his reasons to stay outright, George guessed about as much and smiled. "Alright, then. You can stay in Buck Town for now, but you''re always wee in Walker Town. You cane by whenever you want."
"Thank you, Lord George."
A lump grew in Wilbur''s throat when he heard those words. He had been in the middle dimensions for some years now, throughout which he had been improving his powers with Felix without cking in the slightest. Hearing Lord George''s words made Wilbur feel like he was back on Earth, running into an old friend.
Following that, George and Edmund headed into the secret chamber to chat. Edmund told George what had happened in the past few days and expressed that he hoped George would help him against the pressure from the Dragon yer Organization.
George smiled. "Ah, yes. I forgot to mention just now that Dalton''s in Buck Town. He''s waiting right outside the City Lord''s quarter gates. I ran into him and told him to leave."
"What? So soon? I thought he''d take at least a few more days..."
George patted Edmund on the shoulder. "Don''t worry, I''ll make sure Dalton won''t hurt you. He won''t be able to get into these quarters as long as I''m around."
"Thank you, Lord George."
Following that, the two of them started their game of chess. Thissted all the way till nighttime, when George''s servant, Layton, called out from outside of the secret chamber, "Mister George, there''s been a rebellion in Walker Town that you need to rush back to sort out."
"Those bloody rebels," George cursed under his breath. He left after exchanging a few more words with Layton, and Wilbur frowned. "Didn''t Lord George promise to stay here and help us, Lord Edmund? Why did he..."
Edmund sneered. "You''re far too innocent, Wilbur. Lord George was just being polite, he''s not actually going to help me. I am happy enough that he even showed up, though."
Not long after George left, a guard came in to report, "My Lord, the head of the Dragon yer Organization, Dalton, is here asking to see you."
"Tell him I don''t have the time to see him and ask him to leave."
"Yes, my Lord."
The guard turned to leave, when Edmund called out, "Hang on."
"Is there anything else you need, sir?"
"Actually, tell him toe in."
"Yes, sir."
Wilbur frowned. "You''re injured pretty badly, Lord Edmund. You should be resting. Why did you agree to see Dalton?"
Edmund held up a hand. "Being a City Lord means you have to be unbeatable and capable of withstanding pain average people cannot. Dalton''s visit means he''s sincere, and he might not want to battle us. I honestly don''t mind seeing him."
