    Upon hearing those words, Wilbur and Felix exchanged nces. Wilbur then asked, "Isn''t Elder Milton the head elder of the Chris family? He holds the most power out of everyone in the family. How exactly does he feel about using here?"


    He knew that the members of the Chris family were sure to harbor some amount of resentment over Dorrah''s death. However, Milton and the others might have been fearful of Babbit and the Reyne family''s power and chose to surrender to them obediently.


    Thus, it was important to find out how the Chris family felt about the situation at hand.


    The servant nced at Wilbur. "We shouldn''t talk here. Elder Milton is waiting with everyone else inside. Pleasee with me."


    Felix nced at Wilbur, who followed after the servant.


    Elder Milton and the rest of the Chris family were already waiting in the courtyard, and Elder Milton hurried over at the sight of the two men. "Mister Penn and Mister Horne! You''re finally here."


    Wilbur took a deep breath. "Elder Milton, I hope you''ll be kind to us now that we''re here. I''m sure you know that Master Babbit sent us to assume control over the Chris family."


    "How dare you!"


    Just then, someone in the crowd red at Wilbur. Elder Milton shouted, "Leave, all of you!"


    "Mister Penn and Mister Horne, I know very well why you''re both here. Well, Master Dorrah might be dead, but the Chris family is a rather big one. Having someone so weak rule over us will only make us look like a joke."


    Wilbur frowned at Elder Milton. "So, what are you going to do about that?"


    Elder Milton said, "I''ve talked it through with everyone, Mister Penn. If one of you can defeat two of our chosen cultivators, Gray and Carl, at the same time, the Chris family will dly surrender to you. Otherwise, I''ll have to ask you to leave, and tell Master Babbit to send someone more powerful and capable of running our family."


    Wilbur found that arrangement ratherughable. He would be aughingstock if he really did go back and tell Babbit to send stronger cultivators over.
