Felix let out a roar, darting up behind Babbit to block Mike''s attack.
"F*cking hell!" Mike spat. He muttered a spell and activated sh Step to appear on Babbit''s left side with an attack. Wilbur had long since sensed this and swung his Magic Dragon de to deflect the blow.
Mike had no choice but to go back to battling Wilbur, their swords letting out piercing sounds as they collided. Babbit nced at Wilbur''s direction and his expression darkened. "I was just trying to get you to surrender to me, Dorrah, but you were trying to kill me. You''re not getting another chance now."
Dorrah sneered coldly. "You made us do this, Babbit! The Four Great Families have always just kept to ourselves. What right do you have to force us into surrendering to you?"
"Ha!" Babbit shouted. "I''ve heard about your cunning ways, Dorrah. You were never to be trusted."
Dorrah was enraged to be exposed, and shouted at once, "We all want to make as much money as we can here, Babbit! Why does the Reyne family get to lead us, huh? The Hilton family could do that too! Your time''s up, Babbit!"
Dorrah used his mind to summon a vermillion bird that protected him with its wing. He gripped his sword and charged at Babbit.
"You''re dead, Babbit!"
Babbit smirked, reaching out with his right hand. A ck eye appeared in his palm, its pupil turning into a vortex that rapidly absorbed the vermillion bird''s energy aura.
The bird waspletely absorbed in the blink of an eye, and Dorrah''s sword was reduced to dust as he stared at Babbit in shock. "A spirit curse? How could this be? Are you..."
Dorrah was sucked into the ck vortex before he could finish his words, entering Babbit''s body. A wave of energy swam through Babbit''s body, and he pushed Dorrah out the next second with his left hand.
All of Dorrah''s power had been absorbed then, his face drained of color. Before he could even speak, Babbit blew him up with a ck energy ball.
"Dorrah!"
Grote cried out in shock and was too stunned to move. Babbit shouted, "I''ll spare your life if you surrender now, Grote!"
Upon hearing the words, Grote fell to his knees at once. "I surrender, I surrender! I''ll have the Hilton family pledge their loyalty to the Reyne family! Please spare my life, Lord Babbit!"
Babbit nodded. "I respect that you were smart enough to surrender on your own, Grote. But bear this in mind: from now on, seventy percent of the money made by the Hilton family every year goes to me."
"What? Seventy percent?"
Grote stared at Babbit dumbly, unable to believe such an outrageous demand.
"What''s the problem? Do you have a problem with that?"
"No, of course not! The Hilton family will give seventy percent of our yearly profits to the Reyne family from now on!"
Just then, Mike muttered a spell before appearing on Babbit''s left and stabbing him. "To hell with you, Babbit!"
Babbit grabbed Mike''s sword, turning it to dust at once before gripping Mike''s
neck and raising him into the air. "A talisman cultivator, eh? You''ve been plotting with Dorrah to kill me for a while now, haven''t you?"
