Following that, Wilbur escaped the underground pce as fast as he could.
The Dark Messenger smirked. "These dragon n cultivators sure are something different, aren''t they? I guess I really underestimated you, Wilbur Penn."
Holt was furious. "What the hell! Why did you let him get away?"
The Dark Messenger brought his sword down, shing through Holt''s body from his left shoulder to his right belly. ck, viscous liquid gushed out as the wound began healing on its own, and Holt stared at it in shock and terror.
"Remember, you''re no more than a puppet of mine. You have no right to speak to me however you want to."
Following that, the Dark Messenger turned away and began walking out of the underground pce by following Wilbur''s aura. However, by the time he had reached the streets outside, Wilbur''s aura hadpletely disappeared.
"That f*cking bastard got away."
Over the other end, Wilbur concealed his aura upon fleeing the underground pce. He changed his appearance to look like a regr civilian and headed out of town.
Wilbur was currently racking his brains on how to stop the war on Burd Bay. As long as Holt was still alive, the war would go on. On top of that, Holt fell under the Dark Messenger''s control as one of his puppets.
The only way to kill Holt was for the Dark Messenger to die first, but this Dark Messenger was the third clone of the Dark Lord. Wilbur could not afford to battle this third Dark Messenger just yet.
There were less than twenty days left of the three months Kortlin had mentioned, and it was going to be far from easy to put the Burd Bay war to rest by then.
Wilbur meditated in the forest, thinking about the situation until it waspletely dark to release his aura. He soared into the air, heading for Skermann.
Killing Holt was practically impossible now, as he was with the Dark Messenger all the time.
Wilbur could not kill the Dark Messenger, but what happened today made him realize that there might be another way to stop the war. Maybe he could go around Holt and think of a direct way to get the Church of Holy Illuminati to control the bishops around Burd Bay to give up fighting.
The war would calm down for sure if they were willing to give up fighting. Cardinal Bernal''s death proved to Wilbur that not everyone in the Church of Holy Illuminati would be willing to be on the same side as the puppets of evil gods, and these people would surely give up fighting in the wars if they found out the reason behind Cardinal Bernal''s death.
With no other n in mind, Wilbur decided to give this one a try. It was not the best time for him to show up now, so he needed a representative to handle this on his behalf. The first person that came to Wilbur''s mind was General Arthur of Skermann.
Skermann had a great influence on all of Burd Bay, and Arthur''s position held a great deal of power. Maybe he could write a letter to the bishops and cardinals across Burd Bay, and that might just be enough to stop the war.
Wilbur met up with Arthur in the basement of the Beven Cultivator Guildte at night, who frowned upon hearing Wilbur''s n. "Your n is a great one, Mister Penn, and I thank you on behalf of the people of Burd Bay."
