Wilbur continuously channeled the power of light from within him to resist the rampaging dark figures. He knew all too well that if these creatures managed to breach the shield, he would be the next target of their voracious appetite.
The dark energy devouring the power of light indeed shocked Wilbur, leaving him feeling both surprised and hopeless. After all, the power of light seemed ineffective against these dark figures. Once his power of light was consumed, Wilbur feared he would be powerless to fight back.
Wilbur pondered for a moment, and he knew that he must use his strongest attack quickly. Otherwise, he would not be able to fight back once the light shield shatters.
The first dragon cauldron instantly levitated in the air. Wilbur unleashed all his dragon aura to form a white dragon. Then, he recited a spell and executed the Dragon Move with a cry, "The seventh level: The Dragon''s Turn!"
A gold bead appeared above his head out of thin air as he shouted. Then, the gold bead flew into the body of the white dragon, transforming it instantly into a gold dragon. The gold dragon then let out a furious roar.
The light shield shattered at that moment, and countless dark figures came at him like a tidal wave.
The gold dragon swam in the dark, and its tails swiped away at the dark figures, reducing them into wisps of dark energy. The huge dark energy ball shattered at that moment too. Then, Wilbur stood on top of the gold dragon''s head and burst through the dark energy ball, sprinting toward the Dark Messenger.
The gold dragon roared angrily, and its ws suddenly seized the Dark Messenger''s body. However, just as the gold dragon was about to crush the Dark Messenger, the time for the Dragon Move had ended. The gold dragon dissolved into golden specks of light, and Wilbur descended gracefully from mid-air. Depleted of his spirit energy, his body swayed briefly before steadying once again.
"Haha!" The Dark Messengerughed maniacally and said, "So close, Wilbur Penn, so close. You almost killed him, but you''ve run out of chances."
Then, the Dark Messenger wielded a ck sword as he approached Wilbur. After using the Dark Inferno, he had exhausted most of his energy. Therefore, the Dark Messenger was almost in the same state as Wilbur. They were both exhausted of most of their energies.
The Dark Messenger made a vicious attack with his sword, and Wilbur also countered with his de energy. Their de energies collided and exploded.
Then, the two figures sprinted toward each other and kept fighting, depleting their energies further. Meanwhile, standing on the front of a truck at a distance, Holt watched the scene unfold with a proud smirk.
Moments ago, Wilbur and the Dark Messenger''s formidable disy of power made Holt realize that he could not handle either of them alone in their prime. However, the tables had turned.
Both of them had expended a substantial amount of energy in their intense battle, and they were both struggling to hold on. If Holt could dy them a little longer, they would inevitably exhaust all their energy. By then, finishing them off would be easy.
Since Holt became the new Pope of the Church of Holy Illuminati, he had never been taken seriously. Everyone referred to him as the Little Pope, while only the old Pope was respected in the world of cultivators. Holt felt like fate had presented him with an opportunity, and Holt intended to use it to elevate his status in the circle of cultivators.
He believed that he would cause a buzz among the circle of cultivators if he managed to kill both Wilbur and the Dark Messenger in one go. At the same time, he felt that he would be heavily rewarded after sacrificing Wilbur and the Dark Messenger to his evil god.
The smile on his face froze up. He knew he had to be extra careful at that moment. He could not reveal his intentions before the time was right.
A few minutester, as Wilbur and the Dark Messenger simultaneously swung their swords at each other, their swords were both shattered by a powerful force, leaving them standing in ce, breathing heavily as they red at each other. Though they didn''t immediately resume their attack, both of them looked murderous.
