Wilbur was suddenly reminded of his master''s words. That unknown dimensional guardian, too, came from a lower dimension.
Wilbur suddenly swelled up with confidence, filling him with energy. Wilbur got up from the ground, looking around him carefully. Upon taking a good look, he realized that this formation was far moreplicated than he thought it to be. In other words, this was a formation with severalyers.
The outermostyer was its source of energy, but there were many other structures within as well. In fact, there could be well over a dozenyers stacked within this formation.
That was fine, though. As long as Wilbur found a source, he would be able to turn things around for sure.
Wilbur took a deep breath. His gazended on the innermostyer of the formation, and it was not long before he had located the source of the formation''s energy.
Right after that, Wilbur raised the thunder cleaver and cut the line of energy off. One of theyers of the formation turned into shimmering dust before disappearing, followed by the second, the third, all the way to the fifteenthyer.
By the time Wilbur had cut off the energy source of the formation''s fifteenthyer, the formation waspletely gone. The next second, a spinning dimension formed out of a golden aura appeared. The shimmering dust had not actually disappeared but turned into a golden aura instead.
The formation''s dimension continued to spin, catching Wilbur off guard. He knew that this was the dimensional formation that his master Orkot had mentioned before.
A dimensional formation was different from a regr formation. The creator of the dimensional formation was able to put a portal to a different dimension within the formation itself.
This meant that one wrong move, such as cutting off the wrong golden aura, would open up a door to a different portal that could suck Wilbur in.
There were three different types of dimensional formations: they were either made of golden aura, silver aura, or purple aura. Purple auras would be connected to the lower dimensions, silver auras to the middle dimensions, and golden auras to the upper dimensions.
At the same time, silver auras could be connected to a lower dimension as well, the same way golden auras could be connected to middle and lower dimensions.
However, golden auras tended to be connected to an upper dimension unless there was a specific factor and reason. The same applied to silver aura and purple aura, each usually connected to their respective middle or lower dimensions.
That was why Wilbur had been in such shock at the sight of the golden aura. This spinning dimensional formation was definitely telling him that one wrong move would suck him into a higher dimension.
Wilbur was pretty powerful now, but he had never been to a middle dimension before. It was even more impossible that he would be a match for an upper dimensional elite. His master Orkot had said before that the middle and upper dimensions had strict rules of their own, but the point of cultivation was to grow stronger.
Thus, cultivators would keep challenging others to prove their strength and there were huge battles happening every single day in the middle and upper dimensions.
The war between cultivators was a ruthless one, where the weak would not be able to survive at all. Despite Wilbur wanting to go to the middle and upper dimensions one day to improve his powers, he felt like now was hardly the time for him to go.
Going now would just be walking into a death trap.
In the face of this endlessly spinning dimensional formation, Wilbur had to find the golden aura connected to the energy source he was looking for. Otherwise, he would either be trapped here forever or sucked into a higher dimension.
"Which aura is the energy source of the formation, then?" Wilbur muttered to himself, falling deep into thought.
He closed his eyes, and Orkot''s words rang in his mind once more, ''Remember, Wilbur. You must view every formation like a greatke, as they all have a source going both in and out.''
