Within just ten minutes, groans and moans could be heard from the room.
Professor Dickens shook his head, opening the motherboard of the Satan Robot to take out a piece of metal.
He let out a sigh, then tossed it into the trash can.
Many people have been researching robots for the longest time, and a lot of those projects were to develop killing machines. Professor Dickens knew that the biggest w of a killing robot was that its motherboard could not maintain a steady state.
A real killing robot would be unleashing havoc in public against humanity, which would make it vulnerable to different attacks. The robot''s exterior could block the attacks with special materials, but the massive vibrations that shook the motherboard would greatly affect its functions. Many killing robots tended to malfunction after taking a few attacks.
If that happened, the robot would be as useful as a pile of scrap metal.
Regardless of whatever special functions the robot had, it would be useless the second its motherboard stopped functioning.
Controlling a robot like that to go against humanity was a ticket to the afterlife. That was the case, until a few years ago when a geology squad from Moda found a special ore that possessed a special maic ''memory''.
Upon sticking the extracted metal onto a circuit board, it would memorize the board''s information based on its electromaic field. If anything were to happen to the circuit board, the metal would automatically reform and restore the circuit.
With such a powerful piece of metal, killing robots would be able to automatically restore their motherboards even after they had been damaged with overwhelming pressure so that their controls would remain intact.
Paired with an exterior made with the best protective metals, a perfect killing robot would be possible.
Professor Dickens'' original n had been for the perfect Satan Robot to be able to functionpletely normally for a full day, even capable of running up to eight hundred kilometers per hour.
This meant that the Satan Robot could flee if it were to encounter an enemy. To this day, there was no robot that could run faster than eight hundred kilometers an hour and be able to move through a desert too.
Thus, Professor Dickens had thought that Huck would be able to flee in the Satan Robot, and then reach out for help via satellite phone.
After all, the Satan Robot had not been properly put to use yet. It required a few trial runs first. Professor Dickens believed that Huck and the Scorpion Killers could travel around the nearby countries, which would help them carry out their assassinations even better.
But now that Huck was dead, and Johnson had taken over, that changed everything. Professor Dickens felt that Maria was not really worth all the efforts he had put in for this, thus Dickens took out one of the two pieces of metal in the Satan Robot.
The Satan Robot had two individual motherboards, but taking out one of the memory metal pieces would leave it with just one motherboard that would notst the robot more than half a day.
More sounds came out of the bedroom, and Professor Dickens smiled bitterly. It was true that he had feelings for Maria, but Dickens realized that she was not the woman he had thought she was.
Maria was fine with having rtions with Huck, with Dickens himself, and now Johnson. She had a chance to escape but chose to stay anyway. This meant that she was prone to chasing the thrill.
Professor Dickens felt like a woman like that was not deserving of his love, and thus lost affection for herpletely. All he needed to do now was wait for the Satan Robot to malfunction in the city while Johnson was in it, and everything woulde to an end once Johnson was captured.
