Of course, La was much more professional and detailed than just providing that much. She arranged a trip for Wilbur to the Riol airport from Diseya that would take three hours, then a series of trips to other ces from there.
The entire schedule would allow Wilbur to partake in fifteen auctions over the course of two days. Wilbur headed to the parking lot at once and spoke to Arsi briefly before driving right out of Diseya to Samon. He took a flight to Riol, then to Dillsana.
Wilbur flew around half the globe in just a little over a day. He attended fourteen auctions and spent over a billion dors bidding on various collector''s items that he put into his demine.
Wilbur used thest half-day to fly back to Moda. He had not expected thest auction to be held in Monsato, the capital of Moda. La had pre-purchased entry tickets to the auction for Wilbur, so he only needed to scan the digital copy of it on his phone to enter.
The flight here had dyed him by half an hour, causing Wilbur to miss a third of the auction by the time he got there. Despite feeling rather wistful over the lost opportunities, there was not really much he could do about it.
Despite a third of the auction having gone by, there were still neen items to go. Wilbur sessfully bid five out of the first ten items, and a staff member then came onstage to tell them that the remaining nine items were rare ores from underground mines that would be auctioned off based on their size.
The first ore was carried onto the stage. Wilbur scanned it with his spirit energy and found out that the ore contained a mysterious energy. He secured it without a doubt.
Following that, Wilbur spent two hundred million dors on the next seven ores. He had now sessfully bid for eight out of the nine ores.
The attendees at the auction were famous collectors and entrepreneurs in Moda or neighboring countries, and Wilbur getting his hands on eight items in one go was seen as rather humiliating to them.
Thest item up for auction was a huge ore weighing up to three hundred kilograms. The other collectors and entrepreneurs eagerly raised their cards as soon as the biddingmenced, wanting nothing more than to own the ore.
The starting bid for the ore was ten million dors, and each bid would increase the price by a million dors. Within no time, a dozen or so other bidders had raised their cards and the price was now at twenty-eight million dors.
"Thirty million!"
"Thirty-five million!"
"Thirty-eight million!"
"Thirty-eight million!" shouted the host. "Any higher bidders? Thirty-eight million, going once, going twice-"
Wilbur nced at his watch and raised his card. "Fifty million!"
"Fifty million dors! This gentleman has made an offer for fifty million dors, any higher bids?"
"Sixty million!"
"Sixty million from this man over here!"
Wilbur raised his card again. "Eighty million dors!"
"Eighty million dors! Any higher bids?"
The other collectors and entrepreneurs in the room turned to look at Wilbur in shock. Paying eighty million dors for a rock was seen as a move to embarrass them, as they had thought that Wilbur was just trying to get everyone to pay more.
That would have been fine, but Wilbur had now gotten his hands on that rock for eighty million dors. The auction came to an end, and Wilbur was stopped by a bodyguard on his way backstage.
"Mister Wilbur Penn? Mister Fawkes would like to see you."
