"I just want to check out how many wells there are in the vige."
"Wells?"
Arsi was taken aback. He had no idea what Wilbur was up to. Given the severity of the Night Demon problem, it seemed odd that Wilbur was focusing on something as mundane as the wells in an inner vige.
After pondering for a moment, Arsi furrowed his brows and asked, "So, Mister Wilbur, do you think the Night Demon virus is spreading through the underground water? Are you trying to find the source of the virus''s transmission?"
Wilbur shook his head. "No, that''s not it."
Bangsai was not veryrge. Wilbur and Arsi quickly walked from one end of the vige to the other. Returning to the vige entrance, Wilbur had already determined that there were three wells in Bangsai. He believed that the dragon cauldron fragment must be hidden in one of these wells.
However, the vige was tranquil, and the peopleing and going were all respectable members of the Jeemir family. They appeared to be ordinary folks, not cultivators. This puzzled Wilbur since, based on past experiences, locations with dragon cauldron fragments typically had guardians.
Bangsai seemed unusually peaceful, making Wilbur wonder if he had made a mistake. Could the guardians be living in the wells?
As they reached the vige entrance again, Arsi asked, "Mister Wilbur, where are we heading now?"
Wilbur nced at Arsi''s motorcycle and said, "The ten Ferraris in your parking lot, are they still there?"
"Yes, they''ve been sitting there for over two months. I''m not sure if their owners will evere back for them."
"So, you have the keys?"
"Yeah."
"Can you drive?"
"Of course, why?"
Half an hourter, two Ferraris sped down the highway outside Diseya, kicking up clouds of dust. One of the Ferraris pulled ahead at a turn, then elerated further.
Wilbur and Arsi raced around a nearly ten-kilometer oval track, pleting twops. Wilbur reached the finish line first. He grabbed two bottles of soda from the car, opened one, and took a refreshing sip. Shortly after, Arsi arrived at the finish line in the other Ferrari.
Wilbur tossed the other soda to Arsi, who caught it, opened it, and chugged it down. Looking up at the scorching sun, Arsi wiped the sweat from his brow and said, "Mister Wilbur, is it really okay for us to be driving other people''s luxury cars like this?"
Wilbur replied, "Diseya is just a remote town. Ten Ferraris have been sitting in that parking lot for two whole months without anyoneing to im them. Do you know what that means?"
Arsi frowned, "Do you think they''ve all turned into Night Demons?"
