Wilbur glowered as he said, "You''re forcing my hand, and you''re going to die!"
He channeled the power of light into the dragon, which turned white as it grew in size before charging into the air.
"Roar!"
The white dragon flicked its tail, and all ten Arlots disappeared into ck miasma. At the same time, countless branches reached out from the tree to form a to trap the white dragon. The shrank and the white light faded before it waspletely covered by the branches.
Just then, however, the of branches was sted apart and reduced to dust in a huge explosion as the white dragon emerged from within, flying around in
circles before charging downward.
"We''ve won!" Aite said excitedly.
Vernon asked, "What should we do now, Mister Penn?"
"Everybody retreat to the starting point of the passage and pull on the rope with all your might to open the door."
"Got it."
The men rushed back to the door as the white dragon flew above Wilbur''s head in circles. Yet the gigantic tree seemed to have other ns for them as countless branches reached over once more.
Wilbur found the whole sight rather unbelievable. The tree seemed to be able to regenerate endlessly, as most of its branches that had been destroyed earlier had recoveredpletely. How was this tree able to regrow endlessly?
Amidst Wilbur''s confusion, he heard a loud ng ringing from behind the walls. Following that, the water below them began rising.
"Hahaha!" Just then, a loudugh sounded in Wilbur''s head as the tree said, "It looks like they''re trying to drown you in here! All of you!"
"Who are you talking about?"
"Who else? The guardians of Vicente Deep Waters, of course!"
"Aren''t you the guardian of this castle?"
"Do you think I''d be powerful enough to do that?"
Wilbur was frantic to find out who this tree was when an idea appeared in his head. He had found his answer then. The tree was not the guardian of the Vicente Deep Waters, but just an elite from the previous civilization who had been trapped here.
If that was the case, everything was clear now. The tree was trapped here because of a formation that was hidden beneath the waters. While it had trapped the tree, it also nourished its powers.
That was how the tree was able topletely recover despite being injured severely by the white dragon. Thus, this battle hardly meant anything.
Just then, Eli called out loudly, "Wait, Mister Penn! This door seems to be locked from the outside, we can''t get it to open even after we all pulled on the rope together."
Bill said, "Oh crap, the water''s going to reach us and flood the whole ce! We''re going to die!"
"Don''t be ridiculous. Mister Penn''s got a way to get us out of here for sure."
"Hahahaha!"
