Vernon said after a long silence, "Mitch, you shouldn''t talk to Veda in that tone. You know Veda and his temper. He''s impatient, but he has done a lot for us."


    "Don''t worry, Vernon. I''ll give Veda his share when we find that box of gold."


    "Yeah."


    Vernon nodded and did not speak again.


    Wilbur followed behind and watched the team silently. He felt slightly scared. Vernon and the others only made it as far as five kilometers in the forest. It was an insignificant distance for a forest that covered an area of ten thousand square kilometers.

    Wilbur realized everyone was staring at him. They seemed to be worried that Wilbur would talk about the treasure of Vicente Primeval Forest. Their res scared Wilbur.


    Wilbur suddenly did not know what to say. He fell silent for a moment beforeing back to his senses and said, "I know. Don''t worry. I won''t tell anyone about this, but you should consider that it''s almost impossible. The treasure is in the depths of the forest. The furthest record is only ten kilometers. The distance is too insignificant for this huge forest. You won''t be able to find treasure like that. Your determination is meaningless."


    "What did you say?"

    Wilbur looked at Vernon''s hollow gaze. He knew that those people were blinded by greed, and they would not change their minds no matter what he said.
