"I can tell you where the remaining eight pieces of the ninth cauldron are, but I
need you to kill someone for me in exchange."
"Help you kill someone? Who?"
"Buck, the owner of Tuttle Mine."
Wilbur was confused. "Buck? You want me to kill him?"
"That''s right."
The liquid woman turned back to face Wilbur. "The truth is, I know that there are more evil thoughts in this world than kind ones. The aura of darkness has overpowered that of light, but such auras can be hidden in this mine. I had begged Buck for him to let Adam stay in the mine for a while, just so he''d be able to escape his tragic fate. However, Buck turned me down. In the end, Adam went feral, which led to everything that happened between us. What kind of mother would not love her son? While it''s true that you killed Adam, I know you''re not to me. I honestly feel no hatred towards you anymore now. It''s Buck whom I resent."
There was a murderous glint in her eyes as she mentioned Buck''s name.
"If Buck had been willing to give Adam a chance, none of this would have happened. Buck destroyed Adam, and he destroyed me. I want him dead. In exchange for that, I can tell you where the rest of the Nine Dragon Cauldron pieces are."
Wilbur fell silent, his mind racing and struggling for a while. In the end, he looked at the liquid woman coldly. "I''m sorry, but I can help you."
"Why not? Don''t you want to get the ninth dragon cauldron?"
"Of course I do, but I promised Senior Fremont to only obtain the dragon
cauldrons if they were given to me willingly, which means that I have to track them down on my own, and I can''t use any other methods."
"You''re no good, either. No one will know about this if you don''t say a word about it! Don''t you want the ninth dragon cauldron? I''ll give you another chance to choose. Come on, tell me your answer."
"I''m sorry, I can''t go against the agreement I made with Senior Fremont."
"Fine. We''ll meet again, then."
The liquid woman red at Wilbur fiercely before dissolving into the puddle and vanishing from sight. Wilbur turned to head out but there was not an ounce of regret in his chest.
After walking for a while, he was met with an iing breeze. Wilbur stopped abruptly in his tracks as a method to escape the mine popped up in his mind.
"I''ve got it!"
The breeze in the mine was extremely important. Mines were usually dry, which meant that the air in them was humid. With there being a puddle here, the passing breeze would only increase the humidity in the air.
In that case, Wilbur would just have to head where the humidity levels were lowest, and he would be able to leave the mine. At that thought, he released his dragon aura to sense the air around him before choosing the path with the lowest humidity level.
This time, it only took a little over ten minutes for Wilbur to see the light in front of him. He smiled and quickened his footsteps as he exited the mine.
The sun was bright outside of the mine, and the guard watching the entrance smiled at Wilbur before taking the sack in his hands and putting it on a scale. It read a hundred and ny-eight kilograms, and the guard nodded. "Alright, you can take it with you."
"Thank you."
Wilbur nodded and was about to leave with the ore when Buck came over with two of his men. "It''s really impressive that you managed toe out of the mine so soon! So, did you get your ore?"
