Buck seemed rather eager as he led the two men further into the mansion. They reached the middle of the house, which Wilbur noticed was much wider than it looked on the outside. An arena almost a thousand meters wide appeared in front of him, the ground covered with rocks as if to minimize heavy pressure of some sort.
Buck entered the arena, exining as he walked. "I''m so sorry, but all these duels over the past few decades have really made me... intolerable to weaklings. You see, I only wish to deal with people who deserve my time. I hope my enthusiasm doesn''t thwart you."
"No, of course not. In fact, I think it''s great that neither of us are wasting each other''s time."
Wilbur stood across from Buck. He blinked and saw that Buck was already standing ten meters away from him.
Buck saw Wilbur looking at him and waved. "Best of luck, Mister Penn."
"Thank you."
Just then, Buck shed a smile. "Let''s begin, young man. Oh, I forgot to mention just now that I''ve changed the rules a little. In the past, mid Ambience level cultivators could get a grade one rating from me. However, too many people havee here for a challenge in the past two years, and I''m not the most thrilled to have what belongs to me getting taken away so easily. That''s why I''ve changed the rules a little. Now, only people at peak Ambience level cultivation have the right to battle me. Alright, you may show your power now."
Wilbur looked at Buck and felt a mild annoyance rising in his chest. After all, picking on someone too much was a sign of disrespect, and Wilbur only respected those who respected him.
Wilbur scowled. "You only take people at peak Ambience level cultivation, right?"
"Indeed."
Wilbur released a peak Ambience level spiritual aura, and Buck nodded. "Very well, you''ve earned the right to battle me. However, I''m afraid that you might be a little out of your mind if you think you''ll be able to get a grade one rating with those powers. Of course, you could treat this as a learning experience."
Buck''s words angered Wilbur thoroughly. Yet just as Wilbur was about to strike, Buck had turned into a shadow that came charging toward him. In the blink of an eye, Buck had reached Wilbur, swinging a punch in his face.
Wilbur evaded Buck''s attack, throwing a punch from behind. Buck whipped around, meeting the punch with one of his own.
Both punches collided in mid-air, and a tremendous force sent the two men several steps back.
Buck chuckled. "Beginner Sanctuary level. Not bad. I guess you know your manners."
The next second, a clone split out of Buck. The two Bucks came charging at Wilbur from two different directions.
Wilbur made up his mind in a split second, charging at the Buck on the right.
Wilbur moved a little faster than Buck, nding a punch on his chest before he could strike.
Buck''s clone exploded into dust, disappearing out of sight.
At the same time, Buck appeared behind Wilbur tond a punch on Wilbur''s back, sending Wilbur flying several meters as he looked back at Buck with shock.
The next second, Wilbur''s spiritual aura surged once more. This time, Wilbur released mid Sanctuary level spiritual aura. This was the most powerful state Wilbur was going to show himself at, as showing his Emperor level powers might make Buck fear him.
That might prevent Wilbur from getting into Tuttle Mine, and even paint a target on his back for nothing. The people of Eweyn felt a natural sense of superiority over Dashans, and Wilbur was not about to show his full power unless he absolutely had to.
