Punter''s expression was ashen. "What the hell was that? How could you have lost?"
Wynn nced at Wilbur as his chest heaved. "I''m sorry, Mister Punter. Mister Penn here is a true elite, and I''m no match for him. Here''s your money, you can have it back."
Wilbur could have actually beaten Wynn with ease but dragged things out on purpose to prove a point. Wynn knew that Wilbur was a man of honor, and thus did not expose the fact that Wilbur was a cultivator either.
However, Punter knew Wynn well enough. He knew that Wynn was an Ambience level cultivator, but Wynn had just lost to Wilbur.
Punter watched as Wynn left, the rage in his chest growing by the second. It was important to note that a regr human being could neverpare to a cultivator regardless of how strong they were. Wynn had lost, which must mean that Wilbur was also a cultivator and one that was more powerful than Wynn, too.
This made Punter extremely ufortable. There were cultivators in Dasha now, and one of them had just defeated Wynn. The people of Bruille Town discriminated against Dashans heavily and saw Dashans as nothing but weak.
To these townsfolk, Dashans were only good for cheapbor. Despite the fact that very was now banned around the world, the entitlement that the people of Eweyn had was buried deep in their bones, that is, up until Wilbur showed up.
Just then, Punter realized that Wilbur''s appearance might be a huge blow to the morale of the townsfolk, so he hatched a n to redeem their pride and confidence.
Wilbur flexed his wrist. "Wynn was really good. I only won by a hair. I might lose if we were to go again."
"Don''t be humble, Mister Penn. I''ll be honest with you. I know Wynn''s a cultivator, and no regr man would be able to go up against a cultivator. You defeated him, which must mean that you, too, are a cultivator."
"Yes. I didn''t want it to be a known fact, but at least I won''t have to hide now that you all know about it."
Punter took a deep breath. "You don''t need to hide that. In fact, you being a cultivator might be a good thing for you."
"A good thing?"
"Precisely. After all, only cultivators have the right to challenge the owner of Tuttle Mine, and only those who pass can enter the sealed mine."
"I thought that you would have nothing to do with this, but now it seems that you just might earn a pass to go in there."
"I see. Well, Mister Punter, can you lead me to the owner of Tuttle Mine?"
"Of course. Come with me."
Wilbur followed Punter back into town, who drove the two of them to a mansion north of Bruille Town.
Punter got out of the car. "Come with me, Mister Penn. This is where Mister Buck, the owner of Tuttle Mine, lives. As long as you pass his test, you''ll be able to enter Tuttle Mine. Also, Mister Buck will grade you based on your powers. There are ten grades in total. At grade one, you''ll be able to take out a hundred kilograms of copper ore from the mine, and at grade ten, you can take out a thousand kilograms of copper ore."
