Chapter 2125

Ramos chuckled. "I asked Senior Fremont about something when he was here. Can you ask him if he had forgotten what he promised me back then after you returned to your world? Send him my regards, too."

    "Uhm... Yes, of course."

Wilbur and the old man exchanged a nce. The two of them were nothing but curious as to what the agreement between Emperor Ramos and Senior Fremont had been. They had not expected the great merfolk emperor, the most powerful figure in the underwater realm to be a human cultivator.

Wilbur and the old man bid farewell to Hagin and Emperor Ramos, then returned to the human realm through the portal. By the time they appeared at the bottom of theke, the portal had vanished behind them.

Wilbur hesitated, but the old man grabbed him by the shoulder and the two of them swam upwards. They broke through the surface not long after and leaped onto the shore where they briefly dried themselves.

On the way back from the top of Mount Taite, Wilbur could not help but say, "I can''t believe the most powerful figure in the world of the merfolk is a human."

The old man nodded. "Yes, I didn''t expect that either."

Wilbur said, "But I''m actually more curious about how Senior Fremont even found himself in the world of the merfolk. How did he know that I would retrieve the cauldron from the underwater realm, hundreds of yearster?"

The old man said, "From what I know, Senior Fremont was said to have mastered the upper dimensionalws. Rumor has it that these elites have the power to see the future and they''re in charge of how things happen in the universe."

Wilbur was confused. "Are you saying that Senior Fremont leaving the eighth dragon cauldron in the merfolk realm was also his duty?"

The old man shook his head. "That might not be as likely. These true elites like doing some things that regr people can never understand. Senior Fremont''s pushing a thousand years old, and he has definitely seen many, many things. He''s bound to have his own views and experiences. However, I''m sure there''s a method to his madness, just like how no one expected the flood in my vige to be caused by the exiled merfolk, but they ended up having to pay the price for that, decadester."

Wilbur understood how the old man was feeling. Indeed, those real elites were hard to understand. Wilbur might have wiped the entire merfolk poption out if he had been in Fremont''s shoes, but Fremont himself had not done that.

It was evening by the time they returned to Gelsa. By the time the old man had caught a fish from theke and brewed up a splendid pot of fish soup, it was pitch-ck outside. The two men were in the middle of slurping up the soup when a swishing sound could be heard from outside.

    "Who''s there?"

The old man grabbed the fishing spear behind the door, flinging it open. He walked around the house and came back. "There was no one. Maybe that was the wind."

"Gelsa''s anything but essible, and it''d be hard for anyone to get here. Besides, the cultivator in the woods isn''t going to let anyone in that easily."

Wilbur nodded, suddenly thinking of Commander Miller from the underwater realm. "Sir, do you know where Commander Miller went after leaving the underwater realm?"

The old man shrugged. "I''m not too sure about that, but the underwater realm is huge. We only saw one of its kingdoms, I''m sure they''ve got many others. Perhaps Miller ran away to a different kingdom."

"It''s a shame someone like him had to leave the merfolk emperor''s kingdom, though. That Hagin is really too arrogant, he''s a terrible leader."
