"You don''t me me, do you, Emperor Ramos?"
"That''s alright. Miller''s personality was never suitable for the position of
Hagin heaved a sigh of relief. He came out of the room and led Wilbur and the old man into the dungeon. As the chains lowered them, the three of them found themselves hundreds of meters underground.
Hagin led the two men down a long passage. There was a cell at the end of the passage, and Hagin opened the door to let them inside.
Wilbur looked up to see a man with his limbspletely chained. He was stunned by the sight, realizing that the guy had legs like his. The prisoner was a cultivator from the human realm.
The old man was just as shocked. Just as the two of them were frowning in confusion, Hagin came up to the man in chains. "Still remember me, Demon?"
"Hagin. What sacrifices have you brought my way this time?"
"Ha. These elites might not lose to you, mind you."
Hagin turned to the side, and the two men came up to Demon.
Wilbur asked, "You''re a human cultivator too?"
Demon''s eyes glinted at the sight of Wilbur and the old man. "That''s right, I''m a human cultivator. You two... look just like me, which must mean we are of the same kind. Ha, I can''t believe I managed to run into someone who looks just like me! It''sughable, really."
Demon''s smirk froze on his face. "You can leave. I''ll spare you since we''re the same kind. Just nevere back here again. Don''t say I didn''t warn you."
His gaze shed murderously as he spoke. Wilbur had thought this man would be someone sensible, but it seemed like he hadpletely fallen into a trance and would battle anyone who showed up here to the death.
Wilbur turned to Hagin. "Sir Hagin, what terrible deed has he done for him to end up like this? Isn''t this too much?"
Hagin took a deep breath. "Emperor Ramos said that Senior Fremont brought Demon here to be chained to the basement to wait for his fated chosen one."
"Is that supposed to be us?"
"I don''t know, but Emperor Ramos said that there would be a huge shift in the underwater city once this chosen one arrived. That shift might be a good thing for us, or bad. That''s why we never wanted Demon''s chosen one to show up. As for whether or not you two are his chosen one, the only way to find out is through a battle."
"What bullshit are you spouting, Hagin? Why don''t you just tell them that you just want me to help you kill them, huh?"
"Right. If you kill them, I''ll treat you to a feast tonight."
