Chapter 2114

Miller''s expression turned grim, and he knelt on the ground with a bow. "Don''t worry, Sir Hagin. I''ll do my best to protect our pride."

"Alright. You may get up now."

Hagin gestured at Wilbur and the old man. "These two are your opponents. They''re cultivators from the human realm."

Miller got off the ground, ncing at Wilbur and the old man before asking, "Can I know if you two will be battling me at the same time?"

"No," Hagin piped up. "ording to the rules, only one of them can challenge you."

Hagin then turned to the two and asked, "Have you chosen which one of you is going to battle Commander Miller?"

"I shall do it," Wilbur met the challenge and took a step forward. "I want the eighth dragon cauldron, so I''ll be the one to battle Commander Miller."

The old man said nothing. He had apanied Wilbur to the merfolk realm, and it was Wilbur''s task to retrieve the cauldron.

Commander Miller''s gaze fell on Wilbur, looking him up and down. "You radiate a powerful aura unlike any other I''ve seen, which must mean you''re a powerful cultivator. However, these are the quarters we''re battling in, and they have the support of an Earth-type formation. I''m afraid you might lose this battle."

The truth was that Miller actually had his eye out on the old man, as he hadpletely retracted his aura into his body. A cultivator had to go through two stages, and one of them was increasing their aura endlessly to make their powers stronger.

The other stage was retracting the aura outside of one''s body inward, as energy and aura were more powerful when it was released from inside the body. Miller was now in the second stage, but he was yet to be able to retract his energy aura.

Wilbur was shocked at Miller''s words. After all, Miller was his enemy, and the sincerity Miller had shown when kneeling in front of Hagin proved that he was willing to do anything to protect the merfolk''s pride.

Wilbur knew that the old man was very powerful but had notpletely shown his full strength. If he were to do so, Wilbur might not be a match against him.

Wilbur had thought that Miller would be happy to be battling him instead of the old man, only for theplete opposite to happen. Miller wanted to choose the old man as his opponent.

Hagin frowned. "You''ll die this way, Miller."

Miller said, "I''m amander of the underwater city, Sir Hagin. Death is hardly something I fear, and I just want to have a good battle as a cultivator. Battles are the best way to give me more experience, and that''s my passion. My willpower precedes my physical limits, and I fear no threats."

    "How could you "

"Don''t worry, Sir Hagin. I promise you that I won''t lose this battle!"

"You''d better give it your all, Miller!" Hagin fumed.
