"Alright, that''s not on you. From what I know, you''ve been working for Locke for ten years now. Is that true?"
"Yes, sir. As a matter of fact, I would have been working for Mister Locke for eleven years in two months."
"Alright. Well, since you''ve been with him for so long, I''m sure you must know his weaknesses and ws. Surely you know what he likes and dislikes, right?"
Tony paused for a beat, before saying, "Actually, Mister Locke isn''t too different from the other heads of families out there. The only thing that made him stand out from the others was that Mister Locke hated anyone looking down on him or talking down to him. Mister Locke absolutely hated being called useless. From what I know, Mister Locke has gotten rid of anyone who tried to look down on him. Those people would either end up missing or leaving Rostead altogether. It can be said that Mister Locke was unrivaled in the country."
Wilbur was able to find out Locke''s weaknesses uponing out of the manor. It was definitely rare for a businessman to have zero enemies in thest ten years, and having an enemy appear for the first time must definitely be a great blow to Locke.
The name Molton would surely be able to awaken Locke''s memories. As long as the Shadow King could be controlled by Locke''s memories, he would not be able to stop himself from confronting Wilbur.
Wilbur returned to the hotel, where he exchanged his findings with Perry and the others. They had all pretty much gotten the same information: Locke''s ego was frightfully massive, and the fact that he had not had any enemies in the past ten years actually had a great deal to do with the fact that he was a cultivator.
Rostead had once been a ce full ofpetition. Just ten years ago, Locke had merely been the representative of one out of five major ns, and he merely owned a tenth of the market.
If they were going purely on wealth and business, Locke would not have been able to take down the other major ns. Yet as time went on, the other major ns left one by one within a single year. That was something that had rocked all of Rostead then.
After all, the five major ns had controlled the entire economy of Rostead. Their existence had a great influence on the country, and no one ever found out why they left.
Locke''s relentless methods were shocking, but he ended up getting his share of the Rostead market.
Perry sighed. "Master''s right. That was his karma. Locke took out the other major ns using unscrupulous methods and got what he deserved in the end."
After dusk, Wilbur came to the beach to sense the Shadow King''s aura. A wave crashed against the shore before disappearing, and the Shadow King appeared before Wilbur with a smile. "Do you really think you can stop me?"
"I can tell you now that I''ll destroy this world in two days. I''ll send the power from this world back to my true self and be more powerful then. You''re all just sacrifices to make me stronger, you would have been dead if it had not been for those glovesst night!"
Wilbur did not respond to the words, instead saying, "You think you''ve won, Locke. You ruled Rostead for ten years without any opponents, but now you''ve got one."
The Shadow King walked past Wilbur. "Locke''s dead. You''re ridiculous for thinking you can bring him back to life."
Wilbur watched the Shadow King''s retreating figure calmly. "Actually, Molton isn''t dead yet. Your men lied to you."
The Shadow King''s figure froze, and Locke''s voice came out of his throat. "What? That bastard isn''t dead yet? He killed my son! He has to die! You useless bastard, get out of my way!"
