Chapter 2060

All eight of the ck Panthers smiled, and it was clear that they thought Wilbur was being ridiculous.

Wilbur was confused. "Is there really no way to stop the Shadow King froming to this world?"

"Well, there is one way," said Perry. "If someone can talk Locke out of sacrificing himself, that would work. However, Locke just lost the one reason he suffered through all that pain for so many decades. Now that Hart is dead, changing Locke''s mind will be nearly impossible."

"Maybe I could give it a try? Molton''s already dead, and he killed Hart. Locke''s already avenged his son, and he should let go of his hatred now. Locke can''t just screw all of Rostead over just for his own selfish reasons."

Bernard chuckled. "Sure, you can give it a try if you think you can do it. We''ll handle the Shadow King''s clones while you''re at it. As long as we find all of the Shadow King''s clones and kill them before it gets dark, the Shadow King will note to this world."

    "Hang on."

Wilbur furrowed his brows. "I killed Kearson yesterday, and all of the Shadow King''s energy was wiped out by my dragon aura. How could there still be any clones of the Shadow King?"

Perry exined, "Shadow energy is something special to the Shadow Men''s realm, and the Shadow King''s energy is not the same as that of a regr Shadow Man. In fact, regr Shadow energy will actually gather together and suck out all that is dark and evil in this world, then turn it into more Shadow Men. On the other hand, the Shadow King''s energy will be split into ten parts when he descends into this world. Nine of those parts will escape at once and hide around in the dark to absorb the darkness and evils of this world. Only when their energy is powerful enough can they make the Shadow King appear."

He paused and took a deep breath before summing it up, "In other words, Kearson had already long since performed the ritual to sacrifice himself to the Shadow King. It was just that he had sealed the Shadow King''s energy he had gotten in his own body all along. Locke did the same thing. Both men sacrificed their hearts to get the Shadow King''s energy for their own selfish gain, but they have paid a horrific price to control this energy and prevent the Shadow King froming to this world. Either way, there are only two consequences to the Shadow King entering our realm. One is that our world will bepletely wiped out, and the other is the Shadow King being no more."

Wilbur said, "I''m curious. Considering how powerful the Shadow King''s energy is, how did Locke seal it in his body?"

Kearson had only been able to do that with the Six Dragon Cauldron and the power Senior Fremont had blessed him with. Locke was only a regr person, and Wilbur did not think he would have the power to seal the Shadow King''s energy inside him.

Perry shrugged. "We aren''t too sure about that either, but I''m sure there''s going to be an answer soon. Alright, it''s gettingte. Your mission is also a test for you, Wilbur. Master said that you would get news on where the eighth dragon cauldron is located as long as you sort this out, regardless of how you do it."

"Alright. I''ll head to Rostead to do that now."

Wilbur got to his feet, but Perry and the others did not seem to want to do the same thing. "Aren''t you guysing along?"

"Our mission''s different," said Perry. "Plus, it''s almost noon, and we''ve ordered some food. Don''t worry, we won''t be a burden to you."

Bernard said, "Aren''t you going to pay for our meal, Mister Penn? Please pay for our table before you leave."

Wilbur could only head to the counter, muttering to himself as he swiped his card to pay for the ck Panthers'' lunch, "These guys sure know how to have a good time, don''t they? This meal cost almost ten thousand dors!"
