Suddenly, Hart burst outughing in anger, tossing the contract aside. Pages of nk paper rained down from above. Then, he turned and left, saying as he walked away, "Molton, you''re ruthless. Let''s see how this ends for you this time!"
Wilbur stood there, stunned. Molton bent down to pick up the pages of the contract, tidying them up before he handed them to Wilbur, saying, "Mister Penn, please sign here."
"Uh..." Wilbur hesitated for a moment before asking, "Mister Molton, how about we discuss the terms again? Maybe I can raise the number a little."
"There''s no need for that. Since we''ve agreed on the price, we''ll just stick to it," Molton replied.
Wilbur signed the contract and watched as Molton left with his people.
The tension dissipated in an instant. Wilbur wore an incredulous expression as he said, "This power y... It''s truly unbelievable."
In the afternoon, Korlyn was caught in heavy rain.
At a pier by the seaside, Molton stood inside a gazebo. Haron approached with an umbre, entering the gazebo before he nced at Molton and asked, "What do you want from me?"
Molton looked into the distance that was obscured by rain and mist over the sea with a calm expression, saying, "Haron, let me ask you, are we good friends?"
"Of course. Why are you suddenly asking me that?"
"What kind of person is Kearson? Why can he have such wealth while we are forced to live aimlessly like this? When can we drive luxury cars and live in mansions?"
Haron frowned, saying, "Molton, what are you talking about? Didn''t I say that we''ll have all of thatter?"
"Later? How muchter? Can you tell me when your ter'' will arrive? Do we have to wait until we''re in our seventies or eighties to live that kind of life? If so, what''s the point?"
Molton excitedly gripped Haron''s shoulder, which made Haron ufortable. He knew Molton must have been provoked. After all, they both came from poverty and had struggled for decades to reach their current status.
Although Haron owned three cargo ships, all of them were under Kearson''s name. Nobody would believe Haron''s sudden newfound wealth. Haron also knew that if the secrets of the ancient sea trade route were revealed, both he and Molton would not just miss out on a good life, but they might even be hunted down.
Haron took a deep breath and said, "Molton, you have to understand, at least for now, we don''t have to worry about food and drink. And as long as you''re willing, we can live a leisurely life forever without worrying about making a living. Isn''t that enough?"
"I want money. I want fame and fortune. I want women. Just making a living? Eating a piece of bread every day is making a living. Having a feast every day is also making a living. I don''t want to live like this anymore."
Haron had long anticipated this day, so he was prepared. He took out his wallet, retrieved a card, and handed it to Molton, saying, "We are good friends. There''s five million in this card. That''s all I can give you. Take it."
Molton took the card and threw it into the sea, ring at Haron as he cursed, "Five million? What do you take me for? How many treasures are there on that sea route? The things there could at least buy half of Rostead!"
"Stop!" Haron hurriedly covered Molton''s mouth, saying, "Don''t say it. If anyone overhears us, we''re finished."
"I''m going to say it. I want everyone to know the secret of that sea route."
"That''s enough! Molton, what do you want? Have you gone mad?"
