"Don''t mention it. I told you I''d get you your justice, didn''t I? You work for me, and I can''t let you get hurt."
Back at the office, Damon crawled to his feet as the wound on the back of his head healed automatically. "I think you''ve got a death wish, you old geezer."
Damon had taken advantage of Kyra, but he did not think that it was his fault. If anything, Kyra was the one in the wrong. The Scarlet Leaf Faction was nowhere near as powerful as she had made them out to be, and Damon would not have been tormented to such an extent had it not been for her.
His assistant rushed over. "Please calm down, Mister Damon. Paul is from the Scarlet Leaf Faction, and you''d be offending them if you messed with him. That puts us in a lot of danger."
"Is the Green Leaf Faction that weak? This is Green Leaf territory, and Paul just assaulted someone here! Does Greensource Corp even care about their pride?
Damon fumed as he returned to his desk. He was about to file a report to the higher-ups on what happened to him so that they would act on his behalf, only to see a new email on hisputer when he sat down.
The higher-ups at Greensource had found out about what had just happened, and they had sent out an order for Damon.
"You''re not running away this time, Paul!" Damon smirked.
After leaving Greensource Corp, Paul, and Kyra came to a restaurant where he treated her to her favorite steak in an attempt to cheer her up.
It was starting to get dark as they ate, and Kyra only remembered her promise to Tina when her phone rang. "I''m so sorry, Tina, I made ns to have dinner with a friend and won''t be home to eat."
"Alright. I''ll pick you up with Wilbur in a bit, then. Send me your location."
"Okay."
Kyra, too, saw Tina as a sister now. Tina had shown Kyra an endless amount of care, and that had warmed her heart.
It waspletely dark out by the time dinner was over, and Wilbur had arrived with Tina. Kyra and Paul chatted for a little longer and headed over to Tina and Wilbur.
"You''ve worked hard today, Kyra."
Tina knew Paul, and she understood that he must be discussing business with Kyra.
"No worries."
Just as the three of them entered the car and Paul was about to drive off, a familiar Jeep Wrangler pulled up and followed Paul''s car.
"It''s him?"
Kyra''s chest clenched, and Tina asked, "What''s the matter, Kyra?"
Kyra turned to Wilbur. "Could you follow that car? I think Mister Paul might be in danger."
"Okay," Wilbur responded. Despite not knowing the reason for Kyra''s request, he obliged. It was not long before Paul and Damon''s car pulled into a quiet alley in the city. By the time Wilbur had pulled up, Paul and Damon were already standing across from each other.
Both men did not seem to notice Wilbur''s appearance, but Kyra looked beside herself with panic. "Mister Penn, I hope you can help protect Paul this time. I don''t want anything to happen to him."
Wilbur nced at her. "Is this an internal dispute of yours?"
"Please help me out," Kyra begged.
