Moonlight scattered over the calm surface of the river. Demetra and Bari, one standing in the water, the other on the shore, stared at each other, neither showing any intention to strike first.
They were like twoposed individuals who were engaged in conversation, but this surprised Bari. The Bari said with a smirk, "I didn''t expect you to remain this calm. Weren''t you acting quite crazy just now? I thought my punch would drive youpletely mad. But with your meager strength, I''m afraid you won''t be able to handle my Heavenly Dragon Fists. Forget it, this is boring. Just let me kill you quickly so I can go back and report it and take a nap."
As he spoke, ck energy gathered in Bari''s hands, then he suddenly unleashed his fists at Demetra. Two jet-ck fist imprints rushed toward Demetra.
At that moment, a trace of killing intent shed in Demetra''s eyes. He raised the katana in his hand and swung it fiercely. A powerful spiritual energy burst forth, carrying a destructive force as the sword energy shed with the two ck fist imprints, eventually colliding and erupting with a tremendous roar.
The explosion caused a powerful chaotic flow of spiritual energy to spread out. The ck energy dissipated, and Demetra looked toward the shore. Surprisingly, there was no one there.
"Hmm?"
Demetra was puzzled when a powerful surge of spiritual energy suddenly came from above. He looked up and saw Bari descending rapidly within a mass of dragon-shaped ck energy in the sky.
"You arrogant fool, I''m right here. Now, ept your fate! Heavenly Dragon Fists!" Terrifying spiritual energy erupted as the ck energy was absorbed into Bari''s body. Then, Bari quickly punched, with nine ck fist imprints, each containing extremely strong spiritual energy that rushed towards Demetra.
Demetra roared angrily and swung his sword. A wave of sword energy rushed forward, instantly shattering three of the ck fist imprints before him into pieces. Bari dodged to the side, causing the remaining six fist imprints to deviate. Three of them struck Demetra''s head and chest.
Boom!
Demetra was sted into the water. Looking up under the moonlight, he saw the remaining three ck fist imprints exploding on the water''s surface, sending shockwaves along with ripples. The gentle ripples reminded him of Miyah''s hand. At that moment, Demetra remembered their past.
"No one cares about our lives, but we can live well on our own."
"Everyone is busy with life. At least, we don''t have to worry about those trivial things."
"Demetra, I love you. I hope you''ll promise me this. At all times, I want you to live with your strongest resolve."
Suddenly, Demetra seemed to see himself fighting over a loaf of bread with a pit bull in the snowy wilderness. Back at that moment, the bread was everything to Demetra, and now, Miyah was Demetra''s strongest motivation.
A warm energy slowly flowed on the surface of his body. Then, the ck energy condensed into a set of armor enveloping Demetra. In the next second, with the help of his spiritual energy, Demetra soared from the riverbed and leaped onto the shore.
"Hmm?"
Bari watched as the calm water surface, illuminated by the moonlight, rippled in circles. He thought everything was over, but things seemed to have be a bit trickier.
"It''s quite unbelievable that you survived that hit. If it weren''t for the river water blocking the force of thest three punches, you probably wouldn''t be alive right now."
