Chapter 1837

Demetra panted after doing that. He came back to his senses and walked over to retrieve his sword. He put his sword away, then he walked to Wilbur and carried Wilbur''s body away from the scene.

When Wilbur woke up the next morning, he saw Demetra and Tina standing in front of his bed. He frowned and asked, "You guys? Huh? What am I doing here?" Demetra replied, "I brought you back. Your mission ispleted."

    "Mission?"

Wilbur suddenly remembered his mission with Kyra, recalling what happened the night before and instinctively sat up straight.

That shocked Demetra, Tina, and even Wilbur himself. However, he instantly understood why he was able to do so despite suffering such severe damage the previous night. Since the power of destruction had the ability to destroy everything, the power of light must have boosted his restoration.

Previously, the dragon head mark on his back absorbed the power of light and the power of destruction from the Holy One, which naturally granted him self-healing powers after he was injured.

His body only recovered to sixty percent, but it was already quite a good oue with all things considered. The bacsh from Dragon Power was extremely severe, after all, and Wilbur knew that all too well.

If not for the power of light which protected him, he would have died from the powerful bacsh after falling unconscious even if Jeckle did not finish him.

"Please leave for a moment, Tina. I have something to discuss with Demetra."

    "Alright."

Tina left the room. Wilbur looked at Demetra and said, "Thanks, Demetra."

Demetra smiled softly and said, "No need to thank me. You saved my life once, after all."

Wilbur asked, "What happened to Jeckle in the end? Did he escape?"

    "No, I killed him."

    "You killed him?"

Wilbur doubted what Demetra said, but Demetra nodded earnestly and said, "That''s right. I killed him."

"Jeckle had five me crystal cores in his body, and he was injected with the red potion."

"I don''t know what''s the red potion, but Jeckle only had two me crystal cores in his body. I brought them back for you."

Then, Demetra took out two me crystal cores. Wilbur epted them and said, "Thanks. I don''t know how to repay you."

Demetra smiled softly and said, "You don''t need to. We''re friends, aren''t we? This is like when I don''t know how to repay you. We don''t need to since we''re friends. But there is something you should know. I think Greensource Corp is aware."

    "About what?"

"Jeckle has an extremely high status and position. He''s an A-rank assassin. Greensource Corp will always send someone to surveil their A-rank and S-rank assassins. They must''ve known how Jeckle died in battlest night. Also, they probably know that I''m not dead yet."

"Oh no. If that''s the case, I''m afraid Greensource Corp will send assassins again soon."

"Don''t worry. I''ll handle those whoe my way. I hope you can heal up quickly. I''ll leave after your injury is healed."

"Yeah, alright. That''s the best we can do so far."

Greensource Corp must have found out about Jeckle''s death by now, and he was probably the high-priority target of Greensouce Corp along with Demetra. Compared to Demetra, Greensource Corp wanted to get rid of Wilbur more. Therefore, Wilbur felt like it was not a bad thing for Demetra to leave.

It might be a good thing for Demetra.

Greensource Corp would pay less attention to Demetra if he left, after all. He could hang on for a while longer and cause an international buzz once he gathered enough evidence on Greensource Corp. He could then pressure the Scarlet Leaf Faction to get rid of Greensource Corp.

Once Greensource Corp was out the of way, Wilbur and Demetra would regain their freedom.
