Wilbur looked over at Madam Marie, who could only shake her head. After all, those collections had been stored together, and Madam Marie had no idea which items belonged to her father or her grandfather.
"Yes, I''d seen them from a very young age. My father took very good care of them."
"Do you know where they came from?"
Wilbur looked at Albus, hoping that he would get an answer that was satisfactory. s, Albus shook his head. "No. My father loved them, but I don''t know where they came from."
Wilbur could not help feeling disappointed and got to his feet. "Alright, then. Sorry to disturb you, Mister Albus. Please rest well, and I''ll be on my way."
Wilbur was about to leave when Albus'' voice rang from behind him. "Wait."
"What?"
Wilbur turned around, looking at Albus. "Is anything the matter, Mister Albus?"
"Could you show me those gloves again?"
"Of course."
Wilbur handed the gloves to Albus, who inspected them once more before saying, "Yes, I''m sure. My father never told me where these gloves came from, but he did tell me a story about them. However, it''s a fairytale. Would you like to hear it, Mister Penn?"
"A fairytale?" Wilbur asked, confused.
"That''s right. This is a story from another world, so I always thought it was a fairytale. You seem to care about these gloves greatly, Mister Penn, and I think you might just be able to get something you want from this story."
Wilbur''s gaze shed. "Yes, Mister Albus. I''m very invested in these gloves, and I hope you can tell me everything about this story that you know."
"My father said that there were two mysterious powers in this different world. One was the power of light that represented the light, and one was the power of destruction that represented the darkness. In that world, the war between light and darkness never ended. Eventually, a Dark Lord came along, and the world of Light chose seven Light Warriors, for whom they forged seven sets of Light Armor to fight off the Dark Lord. In the end, six of the seven Light Warriors died in battle. Thest Light Warrior was battling against the Dark Lord when he was brought into a different world."
Albus took a moment to catch his breath, then continued, "Eventually, the Light Warrior and the Dark Lord both perished together, and all that was left of them was the armor from that other world. Legend had it that one would gain the power of the light upon collecting the full set of Light Armor, and these leather gloves are a part of the Light Armor."
"Pfft!"
Madam Marie could not help butugh at the words, and Albus red at her. "What are youughing at? As if you hadn''t heard your fair share of these stories when you were younger..."
Marie stifled augh. "No, Dad. I wasn''t trying to disrespect you. I just found the fairytale amusing. All this talk about another world... How can there possibly be another world?"
Despite Marie finding the whole situation amusing, Wilbur felt that the fairytale might be a historical event.
Of course, a regr mortal might find it hard to believe a story like that as fact. But for a cultivator, it was not entirely impossible to enter a different dimension. Wilbur''s demine was a dimension on its own. Some Sanctuary level elites, when activating their domains, would also be opening a door to a different dimension.
