"Wilbur!"


    Tina''s voice rang from behind Wilbur. He turned to look and saw Tina rushing over with Kyra from where they had been hiding at the entrance of the balcony.


    Tina''s eyes were red as she swooped Wilbur up into a huge hug. "I was so scared you''d lose, that you''d end up dead."


    "Don''t you worry about that. I''m fine now, aren''t I?"


    Kyra walked over then, looking Wilbur up and down. "The white glow on your body must havee from those gloves, right? These don''t seem like ordinary gloves, I think they contain some kind of special power."


    "That''s right."


    Wilbur and Tina broke apart as he said, "The gloves contain the power of the light, which can absorb the power of destruction and convert it into more power of the light."


    "It seems like these gloves are the reason you defeated Barett."


    "Barett?"


    Wilbur was confused. "Are you talking about the guy from Cherrytopia just now? How did you know his name?"


    Witter had only told Wilbur that someone would being by to challenge him tonight. Could Witter have told Kyra as well?


    Kyra raised an eyebrow at Wilbur. "Are you telling me you don''t know who Barett is? Dude, he''s considered the god of war in Cherrytopia. There aren''t many stories about him that the people know of, but most of the higher-ups in the country know of his existence. It''s been said that he joined some mysterious group ten years ago after he quit the battlefield, and only works for the group now. I''ve met him before too. That''s how I know him."


    Wilbur heaved a sigh of relief at the words, but they also reminded him that Barett was the elite that Cherrytopia had sent to investigate Greensource Corp.


    Wilbur did not know Barett at all, but Cherrytopia was bound to resent Wilbur for what happened tonight. Either way, Barett had walked into his own death.


    Kyra fixed Wilbur with a stare. "You can still leave now, Wilbur. I think you know what I mean by that."


    Wilbur put the thunder cleaver away, taking his gloves off with a smile. "Some people have forgotten their roots amidst their climb to the top, but that''s a mistake I won''t make. All of Cherrytopia might be furious at me, but they won''t be able to do anything to me."


    Kyra knew that Wilbur had chosen to go with the flow. There was no going back at this point, and he would beughed at even if he were to return to Dasha.


    Kyra nced at Tina, before casting a meaningful look at Wilbur. This threw him off guard, and Tina frowned at the look on his face. "What''s up, Wilbur?"


    "W-What? Nothing, I was just wondering who Barett was talking about just now. The only person who has defeated him before."


    Kyra asked, "Do you want to know? I can tell you. It''s Demetra." "Really?"


    "Yep."
