It seemed like the Dragon''s Altar''s powers were of the light attribute. Otherwise, the glowing off the gloves would have been suppressed already.
Wilbur emerged from his demine with the gloves as he frowned, muttering to himself, "The power of the light. What''s that supposed to be?"
Wilbur had experienced the power of destruction, and it had been immensely powerful.
What would happen if these two powers collided?
Wilbur was nothing but confident in what was toe, and he muttered the spells before starting to cultivate the earth-type defense spells.
Later that night, he stood on the balcony with his palms together as he called out, "Earth Defense: Earth Wall!"
As the words rang through the air, a wall made of dirt and soil that was about a meter and a half thick rose from the ground. Wilbur clenched his right fist and struck the wall with only his physical strength without channeling his spiritual energy. The Earth Wall let out a dull thud from the collision, vibrating slightly. It did not crumble, nor copse.
Wilbur was plenty satisfied with the durability of the Earth Wall. After all, one punch using his physical strength alone was enough to break through ten meters of metal.
"It seems like you''re not strong enough yet."
A man''s voice rang from behind him. Wilbur sensed his spiritual energy and was taken aback. This man was at peak Sanctuary level as well.
Wilbur turned around to the sight of a man in a suit and a wide-brimmed hat. He set the ck briefcase he was holding down, getting down on one knee to take out a howitzer before assembling it.
Wilbur stared at the man. "Did Greensorce Corp send you?"
The man in the suit was eerily calm. "Why bother asking if you already knew? I know you''re a member of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense in Dasha, but some things here are out of your department''s hands. You''ve crossed a line here. Prepare to pay for your actions, Wilbur Penn."
The man seemed to assemble the howitzer at the speed of light. Wilbur scrambled to cast his spell, roaring, "Earth-type defense skills: Earth Wall!"
The wall rose from the ground in front of Wilbur. The howitzer''s shell struck the wall in the next second, and a deafening explosion filled the air as the Earth wall was blown to smithereens from the shot.
The explosion brought about fierce winds, knocking Wilbur several meters backward.
The man smirked coldly, adjusting his sunsses before firing another bullet. "We live in an era of technology and innovation. Cultivation is nothing but a waste of time. ept your fate, Wilbur Penn."
Boom!
The howitzer''s shell struck the Earth Wall, exploding it once more. The man in the suit repeated his actions, and the wall exploded another time.
The man had only brought three shells with him, and he was out of ammo now as he cursed with a scowl. "F*ck, I forgot that you''re more trouble than that Demetra idiot."
The man took out a machine gun from the briefcase, slinging the ammo belt over a shoulder as he aimed at Wilbur and opened fire.
