"The diner''s closed. Leave now if you don''t want any trouble, or you''ll be making an enemy out of the Rian Brotherhood!"
A group of men emerged from the cars, brimming with gusto.
The captain turned back at once, rushing to the entrance of the diner and blocking the young man in the suit leading the group in.
"What are you doing, Peele? If you try to start any trouble, my gun here won''t care which gang or faction you might be from when it sends you to hell!" said the captain firmly.
The group of men scrambled to bow to the captain as if they were in the presence of a worldly god.
The captain happened to be none other than Tammy, Derkley''s youngest daughter!
"Miss Tammy! We received orders from Mister Mondorra himself to identify a dangerous person here and are not actually trying to abuse our power. You''re free to call Watson to confirm that if you don''t believe us. I''m sure you would at least believe Watson, no?"
Peele''s words made Tammy''s gaze grow cold.
She indeed disliked her family''s ways but could use Derkley''s love and affection toward her to go against her family.
However, Mondorra was too powerful of a presence in Aidementon, and there was nothing Tammy could do about him.
She turned to nce at Wilbur and the two women. "I don''t know about that young man, but the two women with him are clearly regr folks, and I won''t y nice if you do anything to them!"
Peele nodded at Tammy''s words. "Don''t worry, Miss Tammy. Mister Mondorra only ordered us to track the guy down. We won''t do anything to the others. Of course, those two women aren''t leaving Fenler until we make sure that they aren''t rted to Rabbick''s disappearance!"
What?
Rabbick was Mondorra''s favorite son, and Tammy obviously knew who he was. If Peele was telling the truth about Rabbick going missing, it was highly possible that Mondorra might actually want to avenge his son at all costs.
With how powerful Mondorra was, a mere police captain like Tammy would hardly be able to stop him.
There was nothing Tammy could do but make way for Peele to enter the diner.
"Sir, are you the man who killed everyone at Sanders Bar and called Mister Mondorra to give him a warning?" Peele came up to Wilbur calmly, speaking the words in a tone that sounded more friendly than menacing.
"What if it was me, and what if it wasn''t?" Wilbur smiled teasingly in response to the polite man with a contrasting murderous glint in his eyes.
"If you are the killer responsible for the massacre at Sanders Bar, we''d have to act ording to Mister Mondorra''s orders and report your location to him!"
