"You cane by a littleter if you''d like a drink!"
Wilbur got straight to the point, seeing as the young guard at the door was unwilling to budge. "Rabbick told me to ask where the two girls he sent to headquarters were. Did they pass by here? Why aren''t they contactable now? You better report to Rabbick if you have any news or you won''t be able to afford pissing Mondorra off!"
The guard at the door got to his feet at once, bowing to Wilbur at the mention of Rabbick and Mondorra. "I didn''t know Rabbick sent you, sir. Give me a second, I''l let our boss know right now!"
The young man at the door turned to run towards the bar after that.
Wilbur decided that he was toozy to wait as well, following the young man into the bar as well.
Upon entering the bar, Wilbur was unable to see the young man. Instead, there were a few women in miniskirts working.
Just as Wilbur was about to talk to one of the women to ask them where the boss'' office was, a loud voice boomed from the balcony of the second floor of the bar, "Young man, you im to be sent by Rabbick. Do you have any way of proving that? As long as you have proof, we''ll carry out any and all of Rabbick''s orders. But if you don''t, I''m afraid it''s not going to be easy for you to leave!"
Wilbur could tell from the voice alone that this was a cultivator.
He looked up to see a tall, round man with a bald head and a murderous glint in his eye on the balcony.
It was terribly cold out, but the man was shirtless with all his tattoos exposed, as well as a young girl dressed in revealing clothing in each of his arms.
"How dare you suspect my identity as one of Rabbick''s men! Do you want me to give him a call for you?"
Wilbur was unsure what had gone wrong for the man to be suspicious of who he
was.
He had no choice but to fake it to see if he could get any information from this. After all, it was best that he did not reveal his identity now. Otherwise, the Aura level cultivator would be crushed like an ant.
"You can drop the act, dude! Mister Mondorra already knows about Rabbick going missing, and he warned us to be wary of any and all news about Rabbick and to report it to him first thing. Rabbick''s been missing for a while now, and you im that he sent you? It''s clear you''re lying!"
Realization finally hit Wilbur upon listening to the man''s words.
Despite the fact that he had taken down Rabbick and the rest of the men he had brought along, Rabbick being missing for two days would definitely be enough to draw suspicion.
What Wilbur could not understand was who could have told Mondorra the news.
Had someone been watching Wilbur all along while he was taking Rabbick and the others down?
The more Wilbur thought about it, he felt like the situation was extremely strange. It was as if someone was out to get him, forcing him out of hiding and face this matter head-on!
