    The power required arge amount of Wilbur''s spiritual energy, but it allowed him to search through a human being''s memories while they were alive to find what he needed.


    Wilbur had never used it before, as it had never been particrly useful to him and drained too much of his spiritual energy.


    With the situation at hand, however, Wilbur was able to deduce that he was not going to get anything out of Fox by interrogating him.


    Thus, Soulsearch was his only way out!


    Wilbur put his hand on Fox''s head, activating his Soulsearch ability. Wilbur was quickly able to ess Fox''s memories and learned everything that happened from start to finish, including the location where Fox had hidden the footage.


    "Take me to your boss. I know where the footage is."


    Wilbur nced at Fox lying in bed, before calling out to the guard at the door.


    Wilbur might have considered saving Fox if the guy had a reason for doing this. But Fox had been willing to throw his wife and daughter under the bus, and Wilbur hardly wanted to help someone like that out.


    Fox had pretty much guessed what Wilbur had done but could only watch in silence as his gaze filled with despair, unable to move under the effects of the anesthetics in his body.


    "The footage is hidden under the bed in a woman''s house. You can send someone out to search the ce, and I''m sure you''ll be able to find what you need. Of course, if you''re too slow to act, I won''t be responsible for the footage getting moved all of a sudden."


    Wilbur came up to Hooked Nose, writing an address down on a slip of paper before handing it to him.


    Having seen Wilbur use Soulsearch powers on Fox from the camera in the room, Hooked Nose smiled at Wilbur. "Don''t worry. You''ll have my approval and my word as long as we find what we need! Of course, if we can''t find it, that would be another story..."


    Hooked Nose passed the slip of paper to the team leader from the inn break-in just now. "Send someone over to search this ce. I''m sure you know the consequences of f*cking up!"


    Right after that, Hooked Nose poured Wilbur a ss of whiskey before grinning at him. "Our church needs people like you, young man! If you''re willing to join us, I''ll rmend you to our Pope myself. You''ll be given a greatly important position and ess to unlimited wealth. What do you think?"


    Wilbur shook his head. "I came to Cametra to study. I''d have to think about joining a church of any sort!"


    "Also, I feel like joining a church to protect people like that is kind of meaningless anyway."


    Hooked Nose burst outughing at Wilbur speaking of his boss'' son like that. "Yeah, you''re right! Getting people like you and me to handle stupid shit like this is honestly a waste of our talents. However, my boss is in the middle of running for mayor, and I''ve been tasked to clean up anything that might affect that. After all, our church needs people with money and authority to keep on expanding. That''s why I came here myself, or you would never even have the honor of meeting me."


    Wilbur raised an eyebrow. "Fox''s family knows nothing about the footage or what it contains, and I hope you keep your promise, sir!"
