Wilbur sat back down on the couch, turning to Lacey. "These people said that they''re looking for a piece of recorded footage. It probably contains some incriminating evidence, or they wouldn''t have sent all these men here. You better tell the truth if you know where it is, or this footage might end up getting you killed!"


    Lacey blinked at Wilbur in confusion. "I don''t know anything about this footage thing. The bastard just scammed us into going to the Royale Hotel. In fact, he never even showed up from start to finish. All I got was the thousand dors he promised me before we went. It turned out that the guy we were supposed to be serving was a total freak, who even tried to force himself on us! That''s why I knocked him out and fled with Eliana."


    Wilbur believed Eliana''s words. After all, she had no reason to lie at this point. Besides, Wilbur was certain that she was hardly strong enough to lie to his face. Those people were after a piece of footage, but Lacey had no idea about it!


    On top of that, Lacey''s father Fox had also been captured!


    With all the clues he had, Wilbur figured that the key to getting to the bottom of this was Lacey''s father, Fox Losa!


    At the thought, Wilbur got up and walked over to the guy whose phone had rang. Wilbur tapped the man several times on different points of his body, and the man began to stir.


    "Mmph! Mmmmph!."


    Upon waking up, the man realized that he was tied up along with the men he hade with and began letting out muffled cries at Wilbur as if he was trying to say something.


    Wilbur was in no hurry to tear off the tape covering the man''s mouth. Instead, he showed the man the call log on his phone.


    "I''ve just spoken to your boss, and I know you''re after a piece of footage of sorts! I''m not trying to get involved here, and honestly ended up in this mess by mistake. You were just unfortunate enough to run into me, and I had no choice but to tie the lot of you up. Look, I''ve even bandaged your friends'' bruises where I hurt them. So, you''re going to answer whatever I ask you!"


    Wilbur paused for a moment for the man to process his words, then added, "Let''s figure out a solution together as soon as possible, and then you can leave with whatever it is you need. I''ll carry on living the rest of my life unharmed, too. If you''re alright with that, nod your head."


    The man, who was the leader of the team sent out for the mission, nodded profusely.


    Wilbur ripped the tape off the man''s mouth with a cracking sound. "Did a man named Fox Losa say that the footage you were looking for could be found here in this inn?"


    "Yes! He said his wife and daughter are living here, and that he gave the footage to his daughter. Once he''s secured the money from using the footage as ckmail, his daughter will hand the footage over. That''s why our boss sent us here to look for it."


    Wilbur could deduce by then that Fox Losa had not only yed the members of the Hexagram Church but had also put his daughter and wife up on the chopping block. What a horrible man.


    At the thought, Wilbur pointed at Lacey. "This is Fox Losa''s daughter, but she goes by her mother''sst name. I''ve just interrogated her, and she doesn''t have a clue about the footage you''re after! What I''m guessing is that Fox lied to you, and even used his daughter and wife to get what he wanted!"
