"What brings you to the Leith household today, sir?"
Eli strode into Tim''s study, his gaze flickering as he looked at Wilbur.
Wilbur had already sensed Eli''s powerful aura the moment he stepped into the room and turned to look at him.
"The Leith family has been selling fake medicine to the people and causing them great harm! They''ve even sent out assassins to silence anyone who speaks up. With how powerful you are, surely you''de looking for the Leith family to seek justice instead of hiding yourself if this happened to you, right?"
Eli only heard one thing out of all Wilbur had said the Leith family was peddling fake medicine. Those words cut into his heart deeply...
Eli immediately turned to Tim, his gaze murderous as if he were ready to chop Tim''s head right off his shoulders.
The next second, however, Eli turned back to Wilbur. "Sir, your spirit and spiritual energies are as deep as the ocean. You seem to be at a level that I might not even know of. I think you must at least be at peak Sanctuary level. I have little to live for outside of improving my cultivation and seeing if it is possible to bring the dead back to life. Tim Leith is truly despicable, but before you punish him, I wonder if you might like to have a spar with me. If you win, I''ll let you do whatever you want with him. But if you lose, please allow me to spare his life and only break his limbs as punishment!"
Eli''s words caught Wilbur off guard and also filled Tim with a deep sense of terror. Tim turned to glower at Eli and said, "How could you do this to me, Eli Leith? You promised my mother that you would never hurt me!"
Wilbur watched on in mild interest as Eli betrayed his nephew. He was curious to see what drama there could possibly be between the two men!
Eli red at Tim coldly. "Your mother tried to sabotage my rtionship with my wife and hired someone to kill her. I ughtered twenty-three members of the Leith family after that, sparing you, along with the other children and your mother. I told your mother that as long as you did no harm, the rest of the Leith fortune would be yours to manage! However, you thought that poisoning my food every day would lead to my eventual death, so you could take full control, didn''t you? I thought you''d be smarter than your two cousin brothers, Tim. s, it turns out that you''re even dumber."
Eli let out a long sigh, then continued, "I''m sparing your life today only because Narin''s been secretly swapping the poisoned meals out for me. Otherwise, you''d be in hell by now!"
Tim fell onto his chair as Eli exposed his ploys, going numb and weak as the feeling of helplessness overwhelmed him.
Next to them, Frank was trembling in his shoes.
After dealing with Tim, Eli turned to Frank. "Frank, you were just a driver working for the Leiths back then. It was Tim''s mother who forced you into taking my wife down, and you were nearly killed in the process."
"Out of guilt, I did what Tim''s mother wanted and made you Tim''s right-hand man with almostplete control of the family fortune! However, you''ve been working up quite the appetite over the years. Not only did you embezzle a fifth of our family fortune and send it overseas to your son to spend as he pleased, but you even managed to wrap Tim around your finger, getting him toe up with something as horrible as Andika so you could make a big cash grab and run! I''m pretty sure the Leiths would be the Fowlers by now if I hadn''t put a curse on your son in secret!"
