"Five years ago... Lindon and his family were all hospitalized because of a car ident. The hospital was in cahoots with the medicine suppliers, and that was why the hospital kept pushing this really expensive medicine called Andika to the patients. Lindon and his family were part of those patients who were promoted to." Darren looked around fearfully before continuing, "A small number of patients showed violently negative reactions to Andika... and Lindon and his family were part of that small number. Lindon''s father and son could not be saved after taking the medicine and died in the hospital. Lindon was still a university student when he began investigating the case in secret and managed to get some useful evidence that his family had fallen terribly sick because of the medicine prescribed by the hospital, leading to their deaths!"
After a brief pause, he continued, "With all the proof secured, Lindon was about to sue the hospital and the medicinepany. However, someone from the higher- ups put in a great amount of effort and money to silence the entire incident. This someone from the higher-ups found my uncle, who''s an official in the city, and gave me two million dors through him to have me keep tabs on Lindon and stop him from leaving Seechertown to make aint. In the end, Lindon failed to make his reports one too many times and killed himself at the vige entrance..."
Atst, the cowardly Darren spilled all the beans on the case involving Lindon and the Andika pills in fear of Wilbur strangling him to death.
Wilbur had recorded the entire thing as well, as that was going to be important evidence for the expose.
"You mentioned Howard Leith in your call just now. Is he the person behind everything? I know he''s a powerful figure in the Department of Health, so don''t try to pretend you don''t know him!"
Wilbur was trying to lead Darren into giving up the name of the true mastermind behind everything.
"It''s him, but I''ve only had the fortune to meet this guy once. It''s said that his family controls forty percent of the medical industry in Seechertown. They''re incredibly rich, and most people can''t afford to mess with them. I was just being paid to take orders."
Wilbur nodded in satisfaction at the confirmation, breaking out into a grin. "Thank you for your cooperation. See, none of this would''ve had to happen if you had just been honest in the first ce."
Wilbur got up to leave after that, thinking of paying a visit to Lindon''s house.
Darren''s face waspletely swollen, but he hardly dared to utter another word. Wilbur had just broken his arm three times and put it back together another three times.
Darren did not dare show his anger in the slightest under such pain and had told the truth about absolutely everything he knew.
"Onest piece of advice, Darren Tomaz! Karma always gets the bad guys in the end. If you turn over a new leaf starting today, I just might spare your life on the ount of you not having directly killed anyone. But if I hear one more word about the Tomaz father and son duo wreaking more havoc and preying on the weak in the vige, you''ll end up just like this!"
Wilbur mmed a hand on the coffee table in front of him, his palm lighting up with a roaring me that charred the entire table to ashes.
Darren gulped in terror at the sight of Wilbur''s power, nodding profusely. "Don''t worry, sir. I''ll be sure to turn over a new leafpletely..."
Wilbur hardly believed this at all, but it was not all bad to nt a bit of fear in this idiot''s heart before he did anything worse.
Fear was useful in stopping an evil person frommitting more evil acts!
Wilbur did not stay any longer upon getting what he needed, swaggering out of Darren''s fancy mansion before heading for Lindon''s house.
He returned to Lindon''s shabby ce but did not knock on the door this time. Instead, he went through the gate and entered Lindon''s yard.
