Shane, Pembroke, and the others were already plotting to weed out the corruption in the city using his appearance.


    Not long after, Shane entered the lounge with the three Nees brothers.


    Wilbur got up in a disy of respect. Shane was a government official, and this much was necessary.


    Shane and Wilbur shook hands, and both parties introduced themselves briefly.


    The Nees brothers left knowingly after this, as they knew that they had no ce in a meeting like this.


    "My apologies for disrupting you sote into the night, Mister Penn," said Shane.


    Wilbur smiled. "No worries. What is it?"


    Shane then told Wilbur about the rtionship between Clive and Landhor as well as Clive and the Rochers, the terrible things they had done in the past years, and what Shane himself thought of it.


    Wilbur was stunned upon hearing all of this.


    He had just gotten Clive arrested for getting in the way of his work, only for such a big deal to happen out of this.


    ording to Shane, Landhor had been behind many awful things that happened in Hemount City.


    With the position Shane held, there was much that he knew but could not be revealed to the people. They had suffered endlessly, but there was nothing they could do about it.


    A beatter, Wilbur said, "Well, you obviously can''t go easy on people like that. I approve of your arrest of Landhor Lorne as a member of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense, and anyone who gets in the way of that is going against the department."


    Shane heaved a sigh of relief to himself. He had been worried that Wilbur would pay the situation no mind, considering the fact that Wilbur was not based here.


    With Wilbur''s words, there was no escaping for Landhor now.


    "Thank you, Mister Penn. We''ll finally be able to weed out Hemount City''s worst nightmare," said Shane.


    "Oh, don''t mention it," said Wilbur. "It''s my duty, after all."


    "Well, I''ll be on my way then. I''ve got lots more to do tonight outside of Landhor Lorne. With so many members of the Rocher family dead, Rocher Corp might be on the brink of copse. We need to handle that as soon as possible," said Shane.


    Wilbur looked up. "Oh? Are you responsible for Rocher Corp too?"


    "You might not know this, but Rocher Corp affects millions of careers and is capable of toppling the economy in Hemount City with its copse. It''s a real pain in the neck," Shane sighed.


    Wilbur nodded. "Do you need help with that?"


    "Oh? Are you able to help financially as well?" asked Shane.


    Wilbur smiled. "I can''t, but Cape can. Besides, they''re sending a small team over to Hemount City tomorrow. If it''s necessary, Cape can invest in Rocher Corp or


    even take over managing it so that it can operate as usual."


    Shane stared at Wilbur for a long time, saying nothing.


    Wilbur took a sip of tea calmly.


    "Could I ask what rtionship you have with Cape?" asked Shane.


    Wilbur looked at him. "I''m the boss."


    Shane fell silent once more, before getting to his feet. "Alright, then. We wee Cape International as a part of Rocher Corp. Cape will take over managing


    Rocher Corppletely, and the government will do our best to help."


    Shane knew that this was a trade and that he would have paid off what he owed Wilbur after this.


    Despite the fact that the Rochers were pretty much all dead now, the crimes they hadmitted had still happened. With it being restructured and taken over by the government within the expected time frame, it would be a wonderful opportunity that he could have seized.


    However, Wilbur had offered his solution, so Shane could only say yes to it.


    Cape did, after all, have the ability to take over Rocher Corp.


    On top of that, Shane had to pay Wilbur the favor he owed him.


    Members of the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense were not the best people to be owing favors from.
