Warner called a meeting as soon as he got back, repeating what Seamus had said to everyone''s relief.
This was a matter that affected the future of the Nees family, and they would be done for without the Rochers'' support.
On top of that, the consequences of offending the Rochers were also unthinkable.
It seemed, however, that the Rochers were hardly as bad as they were made out to be.
Everyone was overjoyed, and Warner turned to Sarah. "You''re not going
anywhere for the next two days. Get ready for your wedding, and make sure you don''t screw it up."
Sarah scoffed, turning to leave the living room.
Her heart ached as she returned to her room.
She was the daughter of a millionaire, but now she was going to be a family sacrifice for an arranged marriage.
Everyone knew that Sawyer Rocher was a yboy with countless lovers, never able to keep a woman around him for longer than a few days.
How could anything goode out of marrying someone like that?
Tears began to stream down Sarah''s face at the thought.
It was true that the Neeses were in a crisis, but did they really need to sacrifice her to save the family?
All of a sudden, Sarah stopped in her tracks. She seemed to have made up her mind, turning around and heading to the guest room.
She reached Wilbur''s room, where the two guards were standing at the door. "Get out of the way," said Sarah coldly.
"I don''t think we should be doing that, Miss Sarah," one of the guards said weakly. Sarah shouted, "Who are you to tell me what to do?"
The two blokes had no choice but to step aside. After all, they were still servants working for the Rochers.
Sarah entered the room to see Wilbur lying on the sofa as if he had fallen asleep.
Sarah sat down next to him, saying nothing.
Wilbur nced at her, slowly sitting up. "What''s up?"
"You''re useless. The wedding''s still happening," Sarah said.
Wilbur smiled. "No one can force you into doing something you don''t want, you know."
"My whole family''s watching and waiting for Sawyer and me to get married. What am I supposed to do, screw the wedding up and make a scene?" Sarah said bitterly.
She was the only hope of the entire family, and the stress was too much to beat.
Wilbur said, "You have to trust me. I promise you I can fix everything, and no one can force you into marrying him if you don''t want to."
Sarah looked at Wilbur for a long time.
All of a sudden, she grabbed him by the neck, squishing their faces together as she pulled out her phone
"What the hell are you doing?" Wilbur asked, shocked.
Sarah paid him no mind, clicking away and only letting Wilbur go after she took a few photos.
Wilbur was confused and stunned. "Could you please tell me what that was for?"
Sarah flipped through the photos. "Well, you said you''d be able to fix it, and I''m not waiting until the wedding to make a scene. I''m going to post these photos, and that idiot Sawyer is going to blow up for sure."
Sarah promptly uploaded the photos onto social media with the caption, "Best friends for life!"
Upon doing so, she showed Wilbur smugly.
Wilbur was stunned by all of this.
