    The words, however, seemed to strike a nerve in Ja.


    She flew to her feet, eyeing Ja coldly. "I was invited by the vice chairman of the film festivalmittee! Are you saying I don''t have the right to be here?"


    "So what if I am?" Elise refused to back down either.


    Ja flushed an ugly shade of purple, like a child who had been caught stealing.


    "I''m telling you, you don''t want to mess with me. Remember what you said!" Ja shouted.


    Elise snorted. "Who do you think you''re scaring?"


    Elise came from a family worth billions and was standing right next to Wilbur. She definitely had way more of a right to be herepared to Ja.


    Just as Ja was about to reply, Jacques came over with a frown. "What''s going on here?"


    "Mister Jacques, these two have been extremely disrespectful. I don''t think personalities like this should even be at this banquet. In fact, I suspect they snuck in here. I hope you can find out who these people are and kick them out if they don''t have the right to be here."


    Jacques showing up had given Ja some courage as well.


    After all, she had just served him wonderfully. Jacques was going to at least give her some amount of grace here.


    Jacques looked at Ja, shaking his head before he turned to Wilbur and Elise with a frown. "Who are you two? I don''t think you''re on the guest list."


    As the vice chairman of the film festivalmittee, Jacques had seen the guest list of the banquet, including the faces attached to the names of the guests.


    Indeed, he had not seen Wilbur or Elise on the list.


    However, Wilbur had been invited by the president, and Elise was here with him. Of course they would not be on the list. No one other than the president, Dillon, and a few other staff in the president''s office knew who Wilbur even was.


    Ja smirked at the words at once. "I knew it! How could people like you even have the right toe into a ce like this? I knew you snuck in! How dare you sneak into the president''s special banquet! Do you know what kind of consequences this brings you?"


    Wilbur was speechless but had already red up with anger as well. "You don''t have to worry about who I am. Who the f*ck are you to do that, huh?"


    Ja was furious, going scarlet in the face as she pointed at Wilbur. "Y-You low- ss peasant! You heard him, Mister Jacques! Get someone to arrest them right now!"


    Jacques frowned at her. "Do you know these two people?"


    "I was at the photo station this afternoon and saw him assault someone there. Mister Jacques, people like him are really dangerous. Please, it''s not safe to have him here," Ja crooned.


    Jacques furrowed his brows, turning to Wilbur. "Sir, can you tell me how you got in here? This is no small matter."


    "Ha! Do I even need to tell you that? Who the hell are you? Do I even know you?" Wilbur was already annoyed and thus did not hold back from Jacques as well.


    Ja said at once, "Look at how he''s speaking, Mister Jacques! This man''s out of his mind, please have him taken away."


    Wilbur''s bluntness had angered Jacques as well.


    He was a big name in Westeria, and the vice chairman of this festival! How dare someone whose name was not even on the list speak to him like this!


    Besides, he had to maintain his air of authority in front of Ja, or she might not be as obedient to him in the future.


    Jacques fixed Wilbur with a steely look. "Tell me your name and how you got in here or you''re going to be arrested."
