A smile appeared on Atrus'' face. "Don''t you worry about that. I''ll be sure to get it settled. You''ll be friends by the end of that banquet."


    Brandon let out a long breath. "You really are a good friend, aren''t you? God knows what I would''ve done without you."


    "I''m just operating behind the scenes, Mister President. You''re the man when ites to running the country," Dillon scrambled to say.


    Brandon barked out augh, and Dillon hurried to chuckle along.


    Over at the Azure Castle.


    Wilbur was sipping on a cup of coffee in the living room. Elise sat next to him keeping himpany, and the two of them were chatting happily.


    Lindon and the others had knowingly left the castle, returning to stay in their hotel.


    This was a one-in-a-million chance, and they would be fools to stop it from happening.


    Just as the two of them were getting along like a house on fire, Charlie stepped in and bowed. "Sir, Chief-of-Staff Dillon from the president''s headquarters just reached out to me."


    "Oh? What did he say?" Wilbur took a sip of his ck coffee.


    Chief of Staff Dillon exined, "The president is sorry about what happened. He rified that Atrus had manipted the cultivators in secret to attack you just to save his wife. The president expresses his deepest regrets over this and ns to throw you a banquet in Morburn in hopes of exining everything to you and bing your friend."


    "I''m hardly interested in making friends with politicians," Wilbur said calmly.


    Elise, however, was already shocked to the core.


    She had not expected the president to actually apologize, despite the fact that the method of apology was a little more subtle.


    The fact that Wilbur had been able to get the president to do something like that was already shocking enough.


    Was this what a true elite was capable of? It was terrifying.


    Elise gazed at Wilbur in a daze, hardly able to contain her emotions.


    Charlie continued. "That''s up to you, sir."


    Wilbur pondered for a brief moment. "I guess I''m not opposed to it. I''ll meet with him, then."


    Wilbur had hardly even cared about the stupid banquet, but he remembered what Faye had asked of him.


    He decided to put in a good word for Ja Loss while he waited on that apology.


    Both Chief-of-Staff Dillon and the president were definitely people of power in Westeria.


    Wilbur would have helped this Ja person out without even having to show himself. That was a win-win situation.


    Charlie nodded at Wilbur''s approval. "Alright, sir. I''ll arrange for you to meet up, then."


    Wilbur nodded, and Charlie turned to leave.


    Elise refilled Wilbur''s coffee with a smile. "Can I go to the film festival with you?"


    "You''re a fan?" Wilbur turned to look at her.


    Elise nodded profusely. "Of course, I''m here for it in the first ce! Lots of big celebrities and directors are gonna be here. It''s starting tonight, in fact."


    "Sure. I''ll go with you to see these celebrities, then," Wilbur smiled.


    Elise could hardly contain her emotion. "Really?"


    "Of course," Wilbur smiled.


    He did not like events like this at all but felt like just going along with it since Elise was so interested.


    Besides, he would like to see what this ssmate of Faye''s was all about.


    Faye had said that she was a huge star, but he had not even heard of Ja Loss. Maybe it was because he had never watched many movies, to begin with.


    Well, he was going to have to at least know who this person was if he was going to get Chief-of-Staff Dillon and the others to help her out.
