Tasha was startled. She knelt and said fearfully, "Your Holiness, I didn''t know it was you. I would never be so rude towards you if I knew. Please forgive me."
"I wouldn''t have seen your true colors if I came here as the Pope. I learned something today," said Wilbur coldly.
Laird and Louis knelt on the floor and said frighteningly, "Your Holiness, please forgive us. We will never do it again."
"Forgive you? Do you think you''re worthy of forgiveness?" yelled Wilbur abruptly. Everyone was gripped with fear.
Wilbur was in Terya with millions of worshippers, and his worshippers were growing by the day. He was someone noble that countless people worshipped.
Even Tyrone and his government depended on the Church of the Fire Dragon Lord a lot.
His status was irreceable in Terya.
Laird, Louis, and Tasha would be torn to pieces by the worshippers even if Tyrone and Wilbur let them be.
Moreover, the tribunal of the church was made to punish those who disobeyed the Pope. Their methods were brutal.
Their fates were sealed because they were extremely rude toward the Pope.
Tyrone said, "Laird Freda, you''re now officially relieved from all official duties. You will be sent to the tribunal along with your son. Tasha Nat will also be punished."
Laird and Louis lost hope when they heard that. They went limp on the floor and could not stop twitching.
They would be in the tribunal for offending the Pope, so they wondered if they would ever see the light of day again.
Tasha was more frightened than them. She prostrated herself before Wilbur in a crazed state, which was different from her gracious demeanor before, as she kept begging to be forgiven.
However, Osborn waved at the guards who were kneeling on the floor. He
frowned and said, "Take them to the church and let Archbishop Karl handle them. You guys should stay there and ept punishment too."
The guards crawled up cautiously and dragged them away.
They were originally guards who worked for Laird, but they became soldiers who would drag them to the tribunal.
They could not be med because Osborn gave the order.
Everyone knew that the mysterious old man worked for the president. His words always represented the will of the president, so they could not disobey.
Tyrone sighed while he watched them get dragged away. He bowed at Wilbur and said, "Your Holiness, I''m so sorry for my mismanagement that allowed them to offend you."
Wilbur asked, "Because they offended me? Their actions proved that they are reckless bullies, and one of them is the governor. Mister President, you are indeed responsible for this mess."
"Yes, I''m at fault. I''ll reflect on it and strengthen the supervision of government officials," said Tyrone humbly.
Wilbur sighed to himself.
He felt like Tyrone could say so, but it would not be easy.
They were in a third-world country, and they barely escaped from the grips of the Westerners, so there were a lot of matters to be dealt with.
The corruption of government officials was only one of the issues. Terya had too many pressing issues at hand.
"Mister President, we have important missions to handle, so let''s help each other." Tyrone kept nodding.
"I''m going to continue with the purchase. Off you go," said Wilbur.
Tyrone nodded and looked at the blood diamond on the table. He said, "It''s such a shame that I can''t afford something like that. Otherwise, I would''ve bought it too."
Wilburughed off the semi-serious joke.
Tyrone left with Osborn after saying goodbye.
Wilbur looked at Osborn and pondered.
He never figured out what his deal was. Those he could not figure out were extraordinary.
All the salespeople were still kneeling with fright after everyone left.
Wilbur frowned and said, "Get up."
Everyone stood. Wilbur looked at the saleswoman who served him first and said, "I''ll take this diamond."
